This is a Forum about Cyprus; you do not agree with the Homebuyers Pressure Group and you have a right to express your opinion, - as do they.

If this Forum was solely for those solely supporting GC views - or solely supporting TC views, it would be a poor place and soon die. The Forum is for discussion about controversal issues.

Dear Moderator

I will be first to agree with the provision of an open and healthy forum for debate. However, this is a group of people that have broken the law. It is as simple as that. It is one thing for these people to justify their appalling actions through this channel, quite another to openly advertise their wretched group to their fellow criminals.
How disgusting can these parasites become? They have only have stolen land from a Greek Cypriots but then they have the affront to use a Greek Cypriot medium to advertise this fact.
Again, I say if you allow these then why not the rest of life’s putrid evils.

I have every sympathy with your view and support, totally, restoration of all property in Cyprus to its rightful owners; however:

i) I don't believe deleting a posting by a pressure group is the right thing to do.

ii) It has given those opposed to this group an opportunity to voice their opinions.

iii) I rather doubt that any members of this Forum will actually attend the meeting.

And can someone explain to me how this site can be classed as Greek Cypriot from the point that the title says 'the best cyprus community', this would logically include the north for as many would hate to admit it,(no names mentioned) the north is still attached to the south? so tc's or inhabitants of the north have as much a right to post here as anyone else does..
Debate is healthy when its carried out properly, with academic informative and NON PERSONAL statements being carried from side to side for healthy discussion. It may very well be the case, that in someyears from now, someone on this site may be the one to solve the problem, you never know who you talk to here, or what people will go on to do in the future....
I enjoy healthy debate however moderator it must be said, that unfortunately there are a certain number of people on here who make it extremely hard and personally attack anyone who posts their thoughts and views on the subject if it differs theirs.
Its quite sad really, as its an excellent topic to be debated, enjoyed by many however unfortunately spoilt by a few. And for this regrettably in the long will drive people who regularly use this website to seek a more healthy debate elsewhere leaving this forum full of poison and hatred in the few 'little people' left behind. I t would be sad to see this happen however it has started to happen now, many people i talk to on here and off here who use this site, are turning elsewhere due to the abuse they receive by a certain few on expressing their views.
I love this site and intend to carry on using it however my patience and calm has limits.

It’s quite amusing why these Parasites don’t charter a boat to Thailand and visit their good friend Mr Robb, formerly CEO of the wonderful company Amarata. Well done Mr Robb of fleecing or de liceing those parasites of their grubby gains. In their obscene rush for a bargain these delinquents just showered the eponymous Mr ROBB with their pension money. What a delicious joke it is, a Mr ROBB. Is that his real name? Who cares, many, many congratulations. The icing of the cake is that he didn’t break the law. Well ladies, the Cabarets of the Occupied areas are always on the look out for something new, dig at those fish net tights and start practising. The husband, well he can be your agent, well pimp!

I sometimes wonder whether you actually believe what you say. This is not the Women Institute discussing baking or knitting. My country has been violently occupied, its people have been murdered and our property taken. To add insult to injury, Northern European parasites live on the high life, off our misery. Do you really expect me, or any sane Greek to show nothing but contempt for this scum. What would your reaction be if a German Nazi Group posted their upcoming event on a Holocaust Site? I would expect if you were Jewish, you would be incensed. I am incensed.

I am not diagreeing with you Michael, and i believe much of what you write you write out of pure passion and anger at what has happened. I have never disagreed with you.
What i DONT agree with when it comes to your posts is the way you write your comments, quite often when people arent meaning to insult (sometimes they do and you are jsutified), you launch a blatant attack against them, and for that its wrong. For if the turks are the lowest scum of the earth (which is not my opinion) then all you are doing is stooping to their level in posting comments the way you do.
I understand you are mad. But please try to understand this site is not just for you, many people from all over the world write on this, and not everyones views are necessarily the same as yours. You must understand and learn to be tolerant, not everyone who posts on here supports the regime neither is everyone a murderer rapist and land thief.
Instead counter attack in a way that is impersonal (As its also against the rules of the forum to get personal with anyone and you will get kicked which i dont want), and launch them with facts and intelligent debate as opposed to personal remarks and insulting statements.
In your writing it is apparent you are educated, so please just behave like an educated man and dont stoop so low as to attack everyone who writes something you dont like k?

Someone asked if 'this was a GC site?' The site is hosted in the RoC and all Moderators happen to live there, but are we all GC?, the answer is 'no'.

The site welcomes contributions from all, it is a chance to hear from all 'sides', we just ask that people respect its rules on behaviour, to ensure that it is an enjoyable and informative place for people to spend time and exchange views and opinions.
