Pope Benedict XVI Calls on EU to Restore Justice in Cyprus

Postby Agios Amvrosios » Tue Feb 28, 2006 3:27 am

The Forum Against Genocide

Vatican City, Feb 22 - The EU should, if it believes in the principles it declares, become active and restore justice in Cyprus, Pope Benedict XVI was quoted by the President Christofias of the Cypriot House of Representatives as saying.

The Pope, who had received Mr. Christofias on Wednesday, called on the EU to become energetic to restore justice in Cyprus, harmonize the anomalous situation and become a bridge for cultures and religions.

Christofias noted that the Pope was informed on the ongoing occupation of the northern part of Cyprus by Turkey and on the looting of cultural treasures in the Turkish-occupied areas as well as the systematic pillage of the Christian Churches there.

It should be noted that Turkey invaded the island of Cyprus twice in July and August 1974. The United Nations and the international community have repeatedly condemned Turkey's aggression against Cyprus and called for the withdrawal of the Turkish troops from the northern part of Cyprus, where Turkey maintains more than 40.000 troops. The continuing looting and of Cyprus ethnic and Christian heritage has drawn the particular attention of the international civil and religious community.

Thats right macketterry, the pope should be stopping child abuse in the catholic church and not pretending that he cares about what happens in cyprus.
The catholic church is a haven for perverts and child rapists.

Yes, who cares what the spiritual leader of more than a billion people says! Well unfortunately for you, people do. Poor little Muslim boy wants to be loved by the Christian West, but they can’t, you see. You’re just too alien. However much you want them to accept you, the Turks are always going be on the outside looking in. Don’t worry I am waving at you from Europe!!

There are as many kinds of Turk as there are French, English, Greek etc but you seem either too dim or too uneducated to know it. Luckily the people calling the shots on Turkey in Europe are more enlightened.

I don’t think they are using their hands to wave. Maybe pick pocketing and begging. Yes, Turks are very good at begging. Turks even have to beg for power to keep Kyrenia in lights.
So you won’t be visiting St Peters then? Probably best not, we all know what happened when the last Turk had a Roman holiday.
Poor little Turkeys nobody loves you.

Are these the same sort of enlightened Turks, that either try to shoot a Pope or accuse him of child molestation.
I think you have to own up to the fact that even if the Catholic Church doesn’t want you, what chance do you have. You know it’s for the best. You have managed to get a toehold (or a claw!) in Europe, be thankful for that. The thought of Turkey in Europe makes people skin crawl.

Dream on, you deluded racist fantasist. Your inferiority complex will have to make way for your massive Muslim neighbour whose path to Europe has been clearly mapped out. What you don't want to realise is that the big boys don't care about your backward petty ethnic suabble.

macketterry, I am afraid you are deluded as well if you expect Turkey to become part of EU.
