Pope Benedict XVI Calls on EU to Restore Justice in Cyprus

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby rolo » Sat Mar 04, 2006 12:45 am

well apparently Blair had a good talk with God, and so did Bush. God apparently agreed with both of them that it was a good idea to go into Iraq.

please keep religion out of it

Btw

it appears that Iraq now stands ready for civil war, it can be avoided of course. The Iraqi people seem to be at the same stage as Cyprus 1950's with the imperial powers ready to hand over controll to democracy, just like cyprus.

if we have learned anything from cyprus it is that civil war can be avoided however the P word has not been used enough and not enough poeple have suffered yet. Ah well maybe in fifty years time and hundreds of thousands of deaths too late maybe common sense will prevail, and then there may be two three or even more Iraqs living in peace, but for now peace must first be bought with blood.

Are you suggesting ethnic cleansing as a way to bring peace?

Then here is the way for the ultimate peace, the certain way that no war will ever happen again: Extermination of all human beings!

By the way, in Iraq the different groups are traditionally majorities in separate areas. This was not the case in Cyprus. Maybe they should have also partitioned France when the muslim riots broke some months ago?

quite catagorically and most definitely YES.. YES ...YES

Millions upon millions were saved by partition in India, and they didnt call that ethnic cleansing they used common sense for the common good of all concerned and it worked. Even today india and pakistan have raised nuclear weapons against each other, imagine if they still lived next door, or village by village.

Save thousands now partition Iraq now.

start counting today and see how many will die in the next five years, and then search your soul again. Enough bloody murders and massares already and you want more. God help the Iraqis.

As for france -a riot is not a civil war.

and your sollution of mass extermination ??????????????????

well i think we will get there eventually......Murphy's Law

The campaign group Iraq Body Count has been recording the number of civilians reported to have been killed during the Iraq war and subsequent military presence.
On 1 February 2006 it put the total number of civilian dead at 26,421 to 30,035 and the number of police dead at 1,860.

heres another

One study, published by the Lancet medical journal in October 2004, suggested that poor planning, air strikes by coalition forces and a "climate of violence" had led to more than 100,000 extra deaths in Iraq.

how many more ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

1)First of all the Turkish invasion had killed within days multiple times more people that had died in the intercommunal conflict during a whole decade.

2)There is a difference in India and Iraq. The separate groups traditionaly owned different regions.

3)Do you think giving lets say to the Kurds the 70% of Iraq by ethnically cleansing the majorities of the other ethnic groups from their own lands is something that will bring stability and peace?

4)If ethnic cleansing is the solution then why not ethnically cleanse TCs from Cyprus? After all, Greek Cypriots have been in Cyprus long long time before TCs, and GCs are the majority. According to your logic, sending all TCs to turkey would solve the problem even better. Now TCs and GCs would even have a sea separating them.

i dont care where they live or lived the simple fact is they are two differing peoples where one will be at the mercy of the other.

but have it your way let them kill each other for the sake of installing the majority democratic proccess.

and prior to the invassion two thousand gc killed each other in a few days.

how much more killing will it take to satisfy you?

Okay, how would we divide the island? do you think that Turkey would be happy holding 18% of the island seeing as this was the percentage of TC there where before the invasion? Or would Turkey be happy with holding 9% of the island; because this is how many true TC are left living there?

If the A. Plan is anything to go by, it seems Turkey will only be happy once it has total control of the island.

It's easy to cut something up when there is little attachment to it. I doesn't hurt you if your not the one whose expected to make the sacrifice.

You gave a few examples earlier about successful ethnic cleansing. You failed to mention that not too long ago India and Pakistan were on the verge of nuclear war. That Serbs are being trailed in the Hague for the act. That Iraq was a product of a world war where external powers drew the lines of the country and it's now falling appart because it's no longer in the interest of those countries to have a united Iraq.

It's not a case for wanted to kill each other. But to accept an injustice just because now there is some kind of uneasy peace risks making the same mistakes in the future and causing even more bloodshed. If this world or the true powers wanted to create peace then they could have stopped what happened. Instead a divided island in a strategic location serves their interest better. Unfortunately, this is the reality of the situation and even though it would be nice to forget, it's not possible when you've lost so much.

If they lived next door maybe they would learn to respect each other. How can you hit your next door neighbor with a nuclear weapon?

being neighbours hasnt stopped them building the things, nor stopped them from building two of the worlds largest armies.

hey keep me updated on the iraqi dead - tell how many have died this week, and then make some smarmy joke out of it.
