hey boys, I have joined in the political debates a little bit. all very interesting, but we do not seem to get anywhere..


Kokona, I studied law at University, now I am a trainee lawyer. Your university days are the best years of your life, so enjoy!! As for your subject choices, i cannot offer you any helpful advice.. I picked my area of study at 18 and haven't looked back. The only thing I can tell you is do what you enjoy and then follow a path from there.

hey everyone 23/male from the u.s im new here in cyprus. i will be staying here for a year or two. i find it easy making friends here but the problem with alot of cypriot or greek guys is that they look at you different cause of the american foriegn policies. i wanted to contact alot of you who left a message in this forum but no one wrote his/her email address. so just conatact me if you want to talk.

Man are you bloody kidding me! They don't want to talk to you because of American foreign policy. Well I can tell you one thing, if you want to get on over there, you will have to get used to their backwards attitude quicksmart..GOOD LUCK!

Thats not fair, anyone not wanting to know him because of american policy is an idiot, this is one person and should be given some sort of chance to introduce himself as another human being and nothing else.

I am an American woman who is married to a Cypriot. I am 24 and have been living in Cyprus for nearly 3 years. I am looking to meet people to hang out with here and so far have found it is difficult to be accepted into society. Anyway, i will check in on here from time to time to meet cool people.

I am from a small town in Indiana. Corn fields surround every side of my parents' house, except the side that has a small walnut grove!

I have visited Astoria once with my husband when we were still living in the States. I really liked it. We were staying in NY with my aunt who lives in Brooklyn.

From Indiana (sounds like a nice place to live) to Cyprus... a completely different country..that must have been quite the adjustment for you. I'm having a hard time adjusting with the move just to a different city!

Hang in there, though...i hear there are lots of English people emigrating to Cyprus, I'm sure they're having a difficult time also...might be nice to set up some kind of club or organization where English speaking people can meet (if there isn't one already, try checking online)...

Hope things get easier...
