Another thing you'll need to check is the availability of ferries.

There's an occassional/seasonal ferry service between Limassol and Piraeus (Greece). If you go to http://www.viamare.co.uk/ and select Limassol in the 'select by port' box, it'll give you a few more details.

Unless that you are a cypriot citizen.
