Some of you may recall 2-3 years ago when I put our government’s “subsidized green car” scheme (now exposed and defunct) to the test, and it turned out to be yet another scam!

After researching the cheapest “green” car started at around €45K whereas the petrol equivalent was at around €20K.

Furthermore, the Chinese; who produce the most affordable “green” cars (several brands exist) thanks to their cheap labour etc, and could’ve made such a scheme truly affordable to everyone… have been heavily taxed by the EU to destroy their competitiveness in Europe!

So basically, the EU is full of shit!

Btw, the EU has also plundered billions of funds that were destined for “Green projects” EU-wide to gift to that international arch-criminal ZeShitSki!

It goes to show what the EU’s priorities have always been!

Anything but green… control, power and corruption!

That’s a good write-up… exposes the banana republic’s abysmal management and incompetence.

Yeah, but the powers that be don't really want to exploit Cyprus full solar energy potential.

They want us all dependent and paying a 2nd "rent" to them.

if more and more people install solar power systems, that are just powerful enough to more or less provide for their own needs, the more of a false economy it becomes for the EAC.

Excuse my technophobic ignorance but what does “conversion” mean/entail? Also, what’s meant by “per unit”? :?

FWIW, I got the €1500 grant at the end of Feb. I guess that took about 4/5 months to arrive.

I read it as replacing/updating the inverter... Then when 'too much' electricity is being dumped onto the grid by solar, your inverter would stop doing so but you'd still be able to consume the electricity they did produce...

I could be wrong of course but it would be a solution to the problem for some.
