The Greeks remember battling Turkey over Cyprus in 1974, and Austria still remembers the Ottomans' two attempts to lay siege to Vienna, especially the last effort in 1683. Neither country feels comfortable with Turkey's integration into Europe; likewise, Turkey does not exactly extend warm feelings toward either Greece or Austria.

I couldn't read the article because I didn't want to subscribe.
If there are any Greeks who remember battling Turkey over Cyprus in 1974,they would be in danger of being accused of serious halucinations.
Tell me if i am wrong,but Greece actually wants Turkey in the EU,does she not???
