Nah, still this is not a comparison Leo.... I used Norton, Nad, Karspevsky in different pcs one month each time, this is what I call a test! I havent tested the AVG though, so I cannot comment on that.

You gotta shop around,
I have always had problems with Norton after a while it seems to take over your computer and limits your internet functionality, its an excellent product but it doesnt account for over security which it has a tendecndy of being.
NOD32 Kaspersky, or if your after a free one(which has often for me picked up things that even NORTON hasnt picked up on) then try AVG. Its free, and easy to download and use.

Nampou re wrote:Hi everyone, can anyone tell me the best (safest) antivirus program to use. I am now using norton 2005 which expires soon (liveupdate).
Before I re-subscribe I'd like to know if there are any other options out there to protect my comp. I've used AVG (free) in the past and got a nasty infection!

kaspersky has the highest virus detection rates.

Norton all the way, came free with the laptop and if you don't mind reinstalling every 3 months then you don't pay anything.

Cut the porn and the P2Ps and you won’t need an antivirus.

I can’t understand the logic of spending a day or two downloading a movie which may not even work, when the cost of the bandwidth used surpasses that of renting it!
