Remove Greek and Turkish involvement

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Piratis » Fri Feb 17, 2006 1:14 am

What I say is not lies, I'll show you an old photo my parents have of their home and land and then I'll show you what is there today

When the Turks invaded and took the 37% of the island for the 18% of TC minority your parents left their property to take twice as much in the occupied part of Cyprus.

Its pretty shocking that you guys are so in denial that you pretend that the Turks decided, hey lets invaded Cyprus for the fun of it

You are in denial. The Turks in 1974 simply found an excuse to invade. This is why the occupation of Republic of Cyprus is and will remain illegal. You have no right to occupy our land using an excuse that ceased to exist 32 years ago, even before the invasion was finished.

We live in the real world, if Greek Junta hadnt embarked upon its Racist Barbarian Terrorism the Turkish Millitary would have had NO REASON TO LIBERATE THE TURKS OF THE ISLAND.

The greek junta had killed NO Turkish Cypriot until the Turkish invasion had started. The fact is that the Turkish army killed 6000 Greek Cypriots, and ethnically cleansed 200.000.

Re lala kilinjirokouloufos it is obvious that the invasion was simply a pretext to invade grab land and ethnic cleanse all non turks from Cyprus. You fraudulently claim that the turkish minority was in fear well why did the invading Turkish Army ethnically cleanse everybody- Armenians, Latins, Maronites to dialon ton mavron et cetera.

Turkey was seeking any excuse. This was a policy from as far back as WW1.

YOU LALA are in denial - Ethnic cleansing cannot be justified by some cheap subtefuge-that is why you enjoy your emabargo and international economic isolation.

I think many people forget that within the Greek Cypriot camp there was not a completely unified notion of how the problem should be dealt with. Archbishop Makarios (still rightfully hailed as a hero) was initially for Enosis but changed his mind 180 degrees when EOKA chose a violent path--one that shortly after attempted to assassinate him. I believe the fact that he is hailed a hero in the South (and not the leader of EOKA, Grivas) testifies to common sentiment among Cypriots in the south.

In any case, there was a problem. Colonizers (the British that you ran to LALA) purposely pit Turk Cypriot against Greek Cypriot--the British way. They recruited Turkish Cypriots to the army to declare martial law. So thorough was this campaign of force and propoganda that I've heard a number of ignorant (though apparently educated) Brits condemn Makarios as a terrorist! Once again, the problem comes from outsiders.

No one is asking you to ignore the destruction of your home; however, you cannot ignore the climate of the times or exaggerate it either. There is no evidence that the Turkish Cypriots would have been wiped out by Enoka--which was not heavily armed or even well organized by the end. Even Turkey's excuse was that the island would fall to fascism--not genocide. Moreover, the aftermath in Cyprus speaks for itself. It would appear that hatred festers within refugees of both sides (which represent about 20% of the total population) and not within your average Greek Cypriot home. If you believe otherwise, LALA, you don't know Greek Cupriots and you certainly don't understand the Orthodox.

Turkey was seeking any excuse.

Well you sure gave one didnt you, BRAGGING that your gonna wipe every Turk off the Island and embarking upon the extermination of a Race smells of Nazism.

Pirastis
When the Turks invaded and took the 37% of the island for the 18% of TC minority your parents left their property to take twice as much in the occupied part of Cyprus.

The same old arguments.

1. We owned 100% of the Islan prior to the Brittish
2. Turkish Millitary was in a War, do you think they had time to sit down get a tape measurer and mark out an exact 18%.
3. Today we are more than 18%

Turkish Millitary wether you like it or not has stopped the fighting, liberated the Turks, stopped ethnic violence and Greek Terrorist reign or Racism on the island.

They had to re-locate the Greeks, otherwise there would just be more trouble and would make the intervention pointless as Greeks would carry on trying to fight Turks.

The difference is, Greeks killed innocent Turks in non-War situation.

Turkish Forces killed Armeed Greeks in War and re-located others to the safety of Greek ruled areas.

Would you all like to be ruled by Turks? if so come to Turkish Cyprus.

You fail to accept, if it wasnt for the Barbaric Actions of the Greeks, Turks wouldnt have to save their people.

As I always said, you have a self-destructive nature.

Now you can cry till the cows come home, Turkish Cyprus exists, Ambargo's will carry on being lifted and I dont care wether you have a problem or not, these are affairs of my Nation of which you are not a part of.

Greeks put us into enclaves like animals in 3% of the Island, thats just beautiful isnt it.

Well the Conclusion is.

You should be carefull what you wish for, you wished for Turks to be wiped off the Island and put us in tiny enclaves.

However, the wish turned sour, and now we are the rulers of our own people.

Get over it, Turkish Cyprus is the future.

Dear LALA, I am surprised but you really don't seem to understand what most of us here are saying and you're also waffling. First you say that Turkish Cypriots have a right to live peacefully there with Greeks. Then you say that the island as Turkish and that Turks removed Greeks because they cannot live peacefully. Which is it?

I think you must begin to face the facts about Turkish history. It is a hard pill to swallow, but you must or you will never find peace. From inception, the Turks have expanded and conquered violently and have never lived peacefully with anyone for which they were not forced to (that is, whom they could not conquer). They expanded violently during WWI because they thought it was an opportunity and supported Germany (another expanding, violent group) because they again, thought it would lead to opportunity. And, indeed it did--they used it to oust Greeks who'd been living in Asia-Minor for at least 2000 years.

Regarding your claim that "Turkey owned the island before the Brits" this is narrowly true. Yes, for about 300 years the Turks were there, but then as they started to lose in WWI they retreated and annexed it to the Brits. Before this, however, there is no history at all of Turks in Cyprus. It was a Greek-speaking kingdom for more than 2000 years. Moreover, do you not think it strange, when you go to Northern Cyprus, that all of the churches and places there (all of which predate the Ottoman occupation by at least 1500 years) are completely desecrated. Muslims claim that the eyes of icons "look into the soul"--so they destroy them and all who venerate them.

This is evil at its heart LALA and you should recognize it before it destroys your heart.

You are kidding right

Turkish forces killed civilians including mentally retarded women they raped - didn't you read that British news paper clipping I sent to you in the private message La La?

I know people in Kythrea whose grandmother was raped and then shot in the arm and head by your " turkish peace operation".

Me too. Yes and it is interesting to note that the abortion laws were changed after 1974.

Sort of takes the wind out of the sails of the "Peace Operation".

And they are always scratching their heads trying to figure out why the world has a negative image of Turkey or trying to shout out "Western bias" as loud as they can at any opportunity. Maybe the US buys this load of horse manure, but the rest of the world does not. Oh, excuse me, barring Azerbayjan of course.

And do you think the rapists were reprimanded? It just attests to the character of the invasion. What a fine job they made of it.

Arguing with LALA= mia tripa sto nero.
