Cheers Zenon; indeed, good news!

...i have lost my taste for the Olympics. It occurred to me a few years ago how absurd they are, as a celebration of sport.

How i wish the Special Olympics came first; such achievement should not be an afterthought and it is truly offensive to me that they are not the opening act.

...weird, eh?

Buse Savaskan although represented Turkey, she is actually Turkish Cypriot and came 10th in the Women High Jump.
Was she allowed to represent RoC?

As a sporting event, for me it is more important than the World Cup.
Much more representative for all nations of the world.

Swimmer Karolina Pelendritou has taken a 7th medal for Cyprus in her glorious Paralympics career, securing a silver at the Paris games last night in the 50 metre freestyle of the S11 visual impairment category.
