Concert in Cyprus

Postby RichardB » Tue Jul 16, 2024 6:18 pm

Firstly fellow forumers, I feel I must apologise for posting a thread about Cyprus, but just wondering if anyone is going to any of the fantastic gigs that are on in the next few months.

I've just booked in for Ed Sheeran (bit bloody pricy that one) and Bryan Adams (reasonably) tried getting tickets for Anna Vissy but they sold out in a couple of hours.

Seems Cyprus is attracting some top astists & long may it continiue.

Regards
Richard.

When I was there I watched Serdar Dengtash's band perform for free which included Niyazi Kizilyurek as a vocalist amongst others. Top that lol

Enjoy your concerts.

Yes indeed..They are all Cypriots mixed GC and TC. Although the Dengtash boy's band are all TC, the 4 singers were 1 TC and 3 GC.

Shame on you for posting about Cyprus!

I'm in Larnaca for a few days, seeing Tom Jones tomorrow and was supposed to be seeing Bonnie Tyler but she cancelled...

Booked in for Ed Sheeran, didn't fancy Bryan Adams (saw him in Limassol a few years back)... Booked up for some great comedy acts in Nicosia too...

Now if Theodorakis or Farandouri were going to be there, I would get excited too. A voice to be enjoyed. None of that commercialised stuff.

...as a teen, i worked in a restaurant with a juke box; must have heard his songs a thousand times and more.

...later in life my wife, and her sister, brought extra underwear to his concerts.

Good to see that he can still wow a crowd.
