WINDOWS 11

Postby Robin Hood » Sat Jul 13, 2024 10:07 am

Just had to get a new PC because the old one I have will not convert from WINDOWS 10 to WINDOWS 11!

Set it all up and ......softwarewise ........ IT IS THE BIGGEST LOAD OF CRAP I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!!! There is virtually nothing that is the same as WINDOWS 10 ..... it doesn't even have a screen ON/OFF function ..... and I am still trying to work out how to save to memory stick. NOTHING is the same ..... even the terminology has changed.

Is it me or does anyone have these problems with WINDOWS 11?

None of the “advantages” of W11 strike me as likely to be of great benefit to you.

If you’re sufficiently unimpressed you will probably have to clean install W10 to go back.

Where’s GR when you need him? :D

I tried the free upgrade to Win11 when it came out and thought it was shyte... Went back to Win10.

But then I bought a new PC with 11 installed and really liked it... Everything is very simple actually, and saving to a memory stick is surely like previous Windows...?

However (long story I won't go into), after years, my whole life really using CP/M >>> DOS >>> Windows 386, 95, 98, NT, 2000, XP, 7, 10 and 11...

...I've moved to 'the dark side' and bought an iMac 24" for my desk and a MacBook Air for travelling... So far, really enjoying the experience...
