This forum is being overrun

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I agree with Piratis on this. Some people think the Cyprus problem is a joke.

Yes ofcourse we hate those people in this far away country called Turkiye where the people as a COINCIDENCE call themselves TURKS how shocking

Hey Joey here's what you hate to hear,

We are Turks, our language is Turkish, our roots are Turkmen Tribes of the Ottomans, if I am to go further back I can go to the Mamluks (Baybars) and DulunOgullari. Our religion is Islam, our history and culture is Turk.

Greeks speak Greek language, are Greek are Christian etc etc

ie. Cypriot is not a Nation its a Geographical area, we are Turks you are Greeks.

Its natural for us to like Turkiye lol were TURKS its our land just as Azerbaycan, Turkmenistan, Ozbekistan etc etc are, I know this hurts you to hear but its the bitter truth

Its the funniest lowest of the low arguments to even think that we are somehow different from Turks from Turkiye lol.

Hey YOUR not Greek, I hate it when mainland Greeks come on the forum and speak for Cypriots, Cypriots are our people not Greek lol :P u know u luv my LOGIC

joe wrote:As is the case where ever Turkish and Greek Cypriots meet. Turks from the mainland come and mess it up. This forum will soon not be readable because of the flaming. The Turks are scared that there are still a few Turkish Cypriots who want to live with us so they try to change their minds. I find this disturbing on so many levels. First the moderators must be more active. If I am not mistaken, this forum was created to bring us together. If that is the case then Turks or Greeks who don’t understand that concept should not be posting here. and if you cant help your selfs then moderators should step in. You want a pissing contest on propaganda, there are other sites for that. Can i get a moderators opinion on this?

Joe, usually non-cypriots would not have a lasting interest in Cyprus and its forum. Most people here are Cypriots or those who are somehow connected to Cyprus, i.e. live in Cyprus, etc. I have not seen an overwhelming amount of flaming... And the view of the Turkish Cypriots who want to live together will not be changed by a few posts.

I do actuallu laugh out loud at Mr Lala Mustafa Pasha ( surely not your real name) . He is a character out of Monty Python. It is very funning reading his crap. Its pointless trying to "prove anything" on this mindless drivel. But to keep one amuse please keep on sending these little dittys of yours.
Hurrah for Mr Lala Mustapaha Pasha, or Mr Abdul Abulbul Amir I can feel a song coming on.

And quite unaccustomed to fear,
But the bravest of these was a man, I am told

No, what changed my view was when the Greeks said NO, when the Greek Church said living with Turks will send you to HELL and the sick racism broadcasted by the BBC about what Greek Cypriots think about Turks.

My Sulale actually voted YES, however, now its NO and our family is very large if we vote NO thats alot of No votes and were really quite disgusted by what happened in the last referrandum.

THat was your chance Greek Cyprus, we thought maybe you had changed, anyway, you lost the majority of support that was there for unification.

Theres only a few Die-Hards left in the Turkish Cpyriot camp who think there will be Unification, the majority are not idiots and have no need anymore for this.

Remember, before referandum, there was no talk of anyone lifting Embargo's or having a good image of us.

After Referrandum, our image got boosted, Azerbaycan-Kizgizistan lifted embargos and are on the path of recognition, Brazil lifted ambargo's, U.S wants to fly, Brittish wanna lift Ambargo's.

If our Ambargo's are lifted fully we'll never want to unify at all, those days are comming.

As if the criticism of a bigotted racist, who has mastered personal insults, has any value at all.
Unlike you Lala Mustafa Pasha never resorted to any personal insults.

You can insult the name all you like, its the name that liberated Cyprus 400 years ago from Venetian oppression, the Venetians who let it be known paid the Mamluk Turks who were their masters, the Venetians enslaved the Greeks and from the money made by the townsfolk kept their Crusader Kingdom alive, oppressed Greek Orthodoxy and Language.

The truth Hurts

The truth Hurts

Thats why you avoid it?

The truth today is that Turkey is illegally occupying part of the independent and sovereign Republic of Cyprus.

The truth about the past is that Venetians had been bad, and Ottomans have been worst. The Venetians at least didn't massacre Greek Cypriots by the 1000s.
