I have known English people who have been hear 4 or 5 generations still go on about there "real" roots back in Jamaica......even if they have never been there or may on holiday. They fly the flag, say a few words, complain constantly about there country of birth........people sometimes just don't know when to move on from the past and embrace the future.
I dont think its unfortunate to hold on to who you are. Yes lets stop being who we are and embrace the future. What exactly is that future?
It's becuase they are from Greek ancestry. Nothing wrong with that. Say one person was born in Cyprus and he was part Italian and also part Cypriot. Say Italy won the world cup again. That Italian Cypriot has every right to celebrate with the Italians and waive Italian flags becuase he is also Italian and proud of his nationality and what Italy has done. Same thing with most of the Cypriots.twinkle wrote:Also, why, when Greece won the EUrovision, did I hear Cypriots saying, "we won"? You didn't .Greece won and Cyprus came about 18th
