1 thing in common, theyre all Turks, obviously you can see different races and ethnicities but this means nothing, they speak Turkish, feel Turkish and therefore are Turks equal to me to Bg_Turk and in our "Turk Millet" Nation
Cypezokyli, exactly this is what I am saying, the cultures have fused so much that today there are many similarities between, Balkans, Turkey, Greece, Middle East, Caucases, Azerbaycan, even Central Asia.
So all this nonsense that Turks are culturless, Greeks don't exist is nonsense as there has been a fusion and what has been created is wonderfull and beautiful.
i dont know perhaps i am wrong, but i see a difference in the first post and the second. i agree with the second, while i disagree with the first. the ottoman gave AND took customs. and if one is really interested in observing culture, costumes, and dances a topological approach is much more senseful from a "national" /"nationalistic" one. many of the similarities u mention between tcs and azeris , ( let me add bw gcs and north greece greeks, were created) are a creation ofthe last century. a national approach to culture has its limitation, bc culture is not black and white as they taught us to believe, after borders were drawn in the balkans. so i can tell you about greek dances and costumes, that in thrace are similar to bulgaria, in agean are similar to turkey, the dances of christian / greek pontians are the same with the muslim/turk pontians, the island from the ionian sea have a lot of italian influence, if you listen to macedonian music you will think that its brekovic, and tc and gc music dances and costumes are the same. i can bet you that if we take turkey, will have the same results.
Now the idea of a "greek" , or a "turkish" culture is a creation of wars, borders and nationalism. so i agree, with the beautiful fusion, but i disagree with the great nation similarities
