Terrorists of Cyprus history

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Alexanders own mouth

In 324BC, after the establishment of his state, Alexander the Great gave an oath to the officers and soldiers of his state. The oath was also addressed to all the races that lived in the territories of his empire, it was given near Babylon (in Opis) and the philosopher Eratosthenes passes it to us. By the reading the oath one can quickly realize how much Greek Alexander felt, and how proud he was of his Greek origin:
"I wish all of you, now that the wars are coming to an end, to live happily, in peace. All mortals from now on will live like one people, united, and peacefully working towards a common prosperity. You should regard the whole world as your country, a country where the best govern, with common laws, and no racial distinctions. I do not separate people, as many narrow minded others do, into Greeks and barbarians. I am not interested in the origin or race of citizens. I only distinguish them on the basis of their virtue. For me each foreigner is a Greek and each bad Greek is a barbarian. If ever there appear differences among you, then you must not resolve them by taking to arms, you should resolve them in peace. If need be, I will act as your negotiator.
You must not think of God as an authoritarian ruler, but you should consider him as a common father, so that your conduct resembles the uniform behavior of brothers who belong to the same family. For my part, I consider all, whether they be white or black, equal. And I would like you to be not only subject of my common-wealth, but also participants and partners. You should regard the Oath we have taken tonight as a Symbol of Love."

why is it the rest of the world thinks that Turkish or Turkey culture is worthless. It is no more advance then the day they crawled out their tents in Mongolia.

I base my opinon on indepent source and not ont the hellenic propaganda that you are being fed at school.
If you care to speak to some independent academicians outside if Greece and Cyprus you will understand what I mean.

Concerning the quote you give: it is well known that Alexander embraced cosmpolitanism. He was a barbarian who adopted Greek culture (as did the Romans who invaded Greece later) for Greek culture was considered one of the most advanced cultures of the time. But Greeks looked down upon him as a barbarian and they guarderd their greekness jealously.

In the above quote Alexander simply says that there is no differene between greeks and barbarians, that Greeks and Barbarians should all be the same and be equal in his empire, that were his views as a Barbarians, true greeks never agreed to that.

For Alexander each foreigner was a Greek, he considered people ethnically different from Greeks to be Greeks as well, something that the ethnic Greeks themselves vociverously opposed. They considered the barbarians and their cutlure to be worthless and would never accept to be put on the same level as them. True greeks never called each other barbarians, they reserved this term for outsiders and foreigners, and Alexander of Macedon was certainly one of them.

Only postmortum when his achievment became clear did the Greeks embrace alexander as one of their own, before he was a conqueror, a barbarian, a tyrrant who threatened their democratic ways of life and invaded their country.

Mr Big Turk, nothing worse than a bigoted amateur historian. You haven’t produced a single iota of verifiable fact. You really do just seem to make it up as you go along. Other historical tomes that you have crapped include . "Turkish Beethoven", “The Truth, Shakespeare Roots from Turkistan", "Einstein and his Great Great Great Turkish Grandmother thrice removed" .

We get the picture. You are devoid of any civilisation so you want to knock ours. Do you have centres of learning in Anatolia? Schools, playgroups, maybe?

You’re very British then. I hope your there legally. How do you qualify to live in the UK if you are Turkish and Bulgarian? Still a very confusing combination? I hope that little Union Jack makes you happy. Why don’t you wrap yourself around with your own flag rather than stealing somebody else’s? I am sure most English people would be physically sick at the thought of a Bulgarian Turk hijacking the flag. You’re good at hijacking other people’s culture.
