Customs Union with Turkey

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Customs Union with Turkey

This article appeared in Afrika paper today,

Now, what does Gul mean when he says:

"Upon that determination, all commodities of Cypriot Greeks may enter into Turkey without any customs, and vice versa… However, it is worth contemplating whose economy is more powerful, and who would sell more..."

Is he implying that he will flood Cyprus with Turkish goods? Is he going to try and undermine the economy of the RoC by doing so?

And if so, how does he think he will get away with blocking Cypriot registered vessels and flights to Turkey and thus not allowing Cypriot goods to go to Turkey?

I think there is more trouble ahead for Turkey. Turkish politicians still don't seem to understand how the EU operates.

I read countless versions of that story and what i have understood is turkey does not want it to amount to recognition of the ROC and hence i think he is trying to discourage the ROC, but also they do understand how the EU works but i reckon they are playing schoolboy games again.
