Gonzalo Lira has died of untreated pneumonia in a Ukrainian prison. This won’t mean much unless you reference alternative news sources.

He was a US citizen (journalist?) living in Kharkiv with his Ukranian wife and children and when the hostilities started he wanted to return to the US and his wife wanted to stay. The wife won the argument. He had a blog which covered events in Ukraine and was a frequent guest on discussion forums. Quite am amusing character ....... and a chain smoker!
