Pontians are problem for Cyprus.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

i repeat -You’re obviously a man of great tolerance. Why should being called “Charlie” be so offensive? I always think it’s a term of endearment rather than abuse.
What do you mean that Pontians are “technical” Did one build you a model aeroplane?

Technical as in good at electronics, computers, engines etc.

No, Charlie is an insult, not a term of endearment. One of my pet hates is racism, and I see the "Charlie" as a racist term. Where do you think the term has come from? what do you believe it means?

I don’t think it racist at all. It’s a way of defining who you are. You are obviously an expat Greek Cypriot. Many of the British or otherwise Greek Cypriots that have moved to Cyprus are different from the locals. They are expressing that view by labelling you as a Charlie.
That is not racist .

last time i looked at my reply the word "pontie" did not appear.
Are you or are you not a Pontian. If you are why do you object to being labelled as one.

a pontian are greeks that lived in russia, and turkey and places around that area, but where kicked out so they are like refugees now.
the sad part is is that people make fun of them, just like they do the irish,
eg if you ask a stuid question or do something stupid they call you a pontio

On a personal level I have a very good Pontian Greek friend, he's as nice and trustworthy a guy as you'll ever find, but socially the Pontians are not good news, they seem to be more involved in criminal activity than Cypriots or other ex-pats in Cyprus.
