Yesterday and today the weather was a bit warmer. We will not see much snow in Troodos this year I am afraid :(

Do you see "much snow" at all on Troodos? I know your supposed to be able to ski ther, but how about about closed roads and villages totally isolated, not just the Xmas card sort of stuff? We're talking salt on the roads, snow chains, 2 hours late for work....
Believe me, don't wish it on yourselves - looking out of my window is like looking at a television screen 2 hours after the day's programmes finished.
Oh Cyprus, you happy land!

Hi to everybody. Hey Sotos I watched your pictures and they are great I saw a couple in another post too. What I like about it is that you show "the real Limassol" I mean anybody knows the pictures of the touristic places or is really easy to find them in Internet, but those pictures you post from the center gives the people a more human approach of the city. You think you can post a couple of pictures from some Limassol neighborhood? And people in the streets too? Thats another curiosity I have. How do the real cypriots look? The kids, teens, grow ups, adult people. I say "real" cause almost all the pictures you get in Internet are from people dresed in festivals or those guys with twenty-something glasses over their heads.

Cheers

Tony it was many years ago that any village was isolated, nowadays.... usually you dont need chains, unless you want to drive up to Olympos....

OK, Mikros, that's reassuring. But is there actually decent skiing on Troodos in the winter? I was up there once in the winter but there was only a smattering of snow. Do you know if one can rent skis and stuff or do I have to drag them all the way from Norway?

However, this is getting away from the original thread. I'm looking forward to more photos of sunny Cyprus! :D

As far as I know, you can rent equipment there, as well as book a course, but you have to check when to go up there, (meaning there has to be snow!)
