This is not a joke, it actually happened.

A friend bought a property off the plan in the RoC and in the specs he asked for the bathroom to be tiled to the ceiling. When he returned to check progress, he found out that there was a small section at the top not tiled because it was too small and the builder did not want to cut tiles. He explained that he would like the tiles to go up to the ceiling which is what he agreed. Few weeks later when he returned to check progress again, rather than cut the tiles, the builder decided to lower the ceiling.
