Which bakery do you like most? I often go to to Zorbas and Sigma but I think I like Sigma bakeries better.

In Larnaca, I go to a small one just around the corner from me, forget what its call, its only a 1 shop baker, but they make the nicest bread/rolls I have tasted in Cyprus. For pastries, I go to Zorba and for Apple crumble, I go to Sigma.

Having lived in Central Europe most of my life, I admit that the hardest wrench in coming here was not being able to find the aromatic, crusty bread I was used to. I've never managed to really like village bread (it must be an acquired taste!!!) and the other bread is soft and insipid, even when sprinkled with sesame seeds. Even the so-called French baguettes are soft-crusted. I don't know why this should be, is it the kind of wheat or the yeast?

I like the bakers (small family business) about 40 m from the Nisou B1 crossroads (near Chris C&C), direction of Dali, left hand side. Very good variety of bread (but no crusty bread!!!), savouries, pastries etc. Very popular shop.

I get my bread from Vienna in Nicosia, it is probably the best in Nicosia, the tastier, but also the one that lasts longer. In addition they always throw away any left loafs from the previous day each day!!!! But surely the best I bought so far was from a bakery in Palexori village which is just ....pure bread. Or better I buy the ingredients and my mom does the rest to have a nice fresh home made bread.... :) The rest like, Zorbas or Sigma or Pancyprian, are just .... :) (the word is forbidden! :) )

SIGMA products and especially bread are the best , no argue on that.

I would agree that Vienna (in Aglangia) are probably the best, but being a lazy SOB, I normally buy from Zorpas, they are only 100M away.
