These people are not a burden to the country they go to. They will do the work with lower wages than the locals and work harder too. And yet they are treated like shit left to in the hands of the criminal gangs to make the journey at huge risks to their lives.

It is very easy to stop it RW. Allow people to travel without visa and process them once they arrive. After all that is what they do as soon as these people arrive so there will be no difference which transport method they used. You know like it used to be before they decided to first block people using planes without visa and then closed down applications for visas. That way they will not all arrive at Greece, Italy or Cyprus either, instead they will arrive where they intended to go. And no it is not migrant tourism, people will gravitate where they have family or relatives and will have somewhere to stay too. Not be a burden to the government like it is now in the UK as they are not allowed to work while their application is looked at and they have to stay where they are told. Add to that the government wishes to feed bullshit to the racist mushrooms by not processing applications and allowing the costs to rise astronomically.

It should be the Swine in dock for this one or any other one.

I though the West was mature enough to realise what a problem is and treat the problem not just the symptoms but I am afraid we have not reached such maturity yet and is unlike to reach it with such Swine Wankers in control of the political system all over the world.

It's good to see the BBC do a good job for a change. Why it took them decades to do it is another matter. I don't remember last timer BBC actually did a good reporting job.

We showed footage of 12 people being loaded into a Greek coastguard boat, and then abandoned on a dinghy, to a former senior Greek coastguard officer. When he got up from his chair, and with his mic still on, he said it was "obviously illegal" and "an international crime".

"We had barely docked, and the police came from behind," he told us. "There were two policemen dressed in black, and three others in civilian clothes. They were masked, you could only see their eyes."

I can understand that the coast guard need to be armed but why hold their guns at the ready when they are dealing with asylum seekers. The guns could be locked up inside till they are needed. Of course there are clips of them firing in the water to frighten asylum seekers in small boats as well as going past small boats fast to create a wave to try to overturn boats.

Yet again even with evidence the coast guard is denying they are doing it. So much for Greek Civilisation. I suspect they have locked it up in a cupboard somewhere and threw away the key.

Fireworks launched from a yacht in Greece sparked a forest fire on the island of Hydra on Friday, the local firefighting authority has said.
The blaze burnt the only pine forest on the tourist island, which lies south of Athens, the authority wrote
