Condolences to all those who have lost families in Turkey and Syria Earthquake and hope that those who are still buried under the rubble are recovered asap.

For those who do not like Turkish politics, this area is mainly Kurdish area and they hate the Turkish politics as much as you do.

It was also felt in Nicosia, hope there are nobody in Cyprus who have been adversely affected.

Cry for help - Can you hear my voice. Written for another earthquake but applies equally here.

For those who can read Turkish

uykudaydı istanbul, izmit, adapazarı, bolu, yalova
uykudaydı eskişehir, ankara, gölcük, değirmendere, düzce, bursa
onyedisinde ağustos'un, sonra onikisinde kasım'ın
dipten bir uğultu koptu, bir çığlık yükseldi topraktan

saniyelere sığdı onbinlercesi ölümün
sonra çığlıklar ağıtlara, ağıtlar çığlıklara karıştı
ben buradayım, sesimi duyan var mı?
geceydi uğultulu geceydi

binleri aldı gitti
gövdem toz toprak göçük altında
gövdem unufak enkaz altında
acıya gömdüler güzel vatanımı

mezarımda adım yok
kaybettiler oy bedenimi
viranemde feryadım yok
bak göçük altında bizimkiler

hayat verecek bir el bekler
birlikte gülmeyi, birlikte sevmeyi
birlikte paylaşmayı
birlikte yürümeyi bilenler

kardeşlik duygularıyla koşup geldiler
birlikte çok gülemediler ama
birlikte öldüler
"ayrımız gayrımız yoktur" dediler

sildiler gözyaşlarını birbirlerinin
yaralarına merhem oldular
deprem olmuş yıkım olmuş of
yüreğim göçük altında

haykırıyorlar yetiş diyorlar
koşup gelenler dayan diyorlar
kazma ile kürek ile diş ile tırnak ile
dostça bir yürekle umutla arıyorlar

ben buradayım sesimi duyan var mı?
sesini duyan var
sesini duyanlar bizimkiler

The construction companies that have built the collapsed buildings should be brought to justice. If only some properties have collapsed, it means the collapsed building are not designed to withstand an earthquake of the swine have cut corners in the constructions.

You may be right but 7.7 is a v strong quake. I was here in the 96, when we had what I think was a 6.5 (it’s a logarithmic scale of course) and that felt bad enough. Although, for technical reasons there was little damage and I think only 1 death due IIRC to heart failure.

A big tragedy for sure. Greek rescue teams are already in Turkey, I think Turkey also accepted ROC's team!! I am sure a lot of other nations are there helping as well. However it seems to be no help at all for Syria and the Kurdish territories.
He also hear some 30 TC students who were on vocation are currently missing. :(

Fourteen of the TCs have returned but the rest are missing. Erdogan went missing first and then suddenly surfaced saying you cannot plan for such an event. That is no excuse for having nothing in place to at least help with tents blankets and food. But the cunt also shut down airports for a while too as well as Twitter because he did not like people criticizing him..

Go figure

...meanwhile (because of the sanctions allegedly) the borders to Syria are closed.

Any aid going to civilians crosses (from Turkey) at only one entry point, that due to a UN agreement.

Even the Humanitarian aid that would be needed at least to mitigate the suffering of this natural disaster is a political issue to be exploited; which Syrians get aid, by who.

...in this Turkey, Russia, and the actual regime are complicit.
