One of Australia's richest men has apologised after he said that unemployment should jump to remind arrogant workers of their place.
"We need to see pain in the economy," Tim Gurner had said.
But Mr Gurner said later that he "deeply" regretted the comments, which sparked a global backlash.
He has previously made headlines by suggesting young people cannot afford homes because they spend too much on avocado toast.

There are three cunts here that are worse than this son of a bitch

Considering they are allowed to dump sewage in the rivers and the sea, they have actually knowingly dumbed it illegally. You cannot make it up. Of course privatisation works and it works very well at transferring dividends into the pockets of shareholders and CEOs even when they make no profit. After all they cannot be allowed to fail so the government will buy them back in with the debt. What a shit show.

As I said the other day, if you didn't have double-standards you wouldn't have any at all...

How the hell does this make any sense?

Toxic pollutants released during gas flaring are endangering millions more people than previously feared, a BBC investigation suggests.

Flaring - the burning of waste gas during oil drilling - is taking place across the Gulf, including by COP28 hosts the United Arab Emirates.

New research suggests pollution is spreading hundreds of miles, worsening air quality across the entire region.

How can they just burn it, surely they can clean it up and put it in the market to be used. I guess there is not that much profit in that. It's time these Swine received a fair trial.

In a 126-page judgment delivered on 15 December, Justice Leonie Windell, of the Johannesburg high court, said: “The applicants seek permission to advance an untenable claim that would set a grave precedent.

“The precedent is that a business could be held liable half a century after its activities have ceased, to generations not yet born, as a result of being tested against future knowledge and standards unknown at the time.”

Incredible. Corporations are literally allowed to get away with murder.
