GR & Milti

Postby Londonrake » Wed Dec 14, 2022 9:15 am

Concern over their recent absence has cropped up in a couple of threads recently. I thought perhaps this might serve as a focal point for any news.

I wish them both well and a quick return to the fray. Also, to you Cypriot types - resident and diaspora - all the best over the festive season and hopefully, certainly from my POV, a less "interesting" 2023 than the past few years have been.

Kαλά Χριστούγεννα/Mutlu Noeller (If I've managed to get that right :? )

I hope Milti is doing alright, he still owes us his stories with the nurses.

I just had an idea and checked it out. As I'd hoped, there's no time limit on PMs. Consequently I still have my very first in here from 5+ years ago, which was from Milti giving me his mobile number.

I'll send him a text and if it's still valid and I get a reply will let folk know.

Why don’t you ring that number from a pay phone (if you can find one) and see if it’s still in service.

I just had a chat with him. He came back on Whatsapp.

He's doing a lot of Chemo/radio therapy at the moment for the cancer. Obviously it's taking a toll but he sounded very lucid (apart from when I reminded him it was his round and he said he was looking forward to buying it :D ). His treatment ends early January and he has his family taking good care of him. His old 100% positive self basically.

I'll leave him in peace for now but check in later to see how he's doing and pass it on.
