Concern over their recent absence has cropped up in a couple of threads recently. I thought perhaps this might serve as a focal point for any news.

I wish them both well and a quick return to the fray. Also, to you Cypriot types - resident and diaspora - all the best over the festive season and hopefully, certainly from my POV, a less "interesting" 2023 than the past few years have been.

I just had an idea and checked it out. As I'd hoped, there's no time limit on PMs. Consequently I still have my very first in here from 5+ years ago, which was from Milti giving me his mobile number.

I'll send him a text and if it's still valid and I get a reply will let folk know.

Why don’t you ring that number from a pay phone (if you can find one) and see if it’s still in service.

I just had a chat with him. He came back on Whatsapp.

He's doing a lot of Chemo/radio therapy at the moment for the cancer. Obviously it's taking a toll but he sounded very lucid (apart from when I reminded him it was his round and he said he was looking forward to buying it ). His treatment ends early January and he has his family taking good care of him. His old 100% positive self basically.

I'll leave him in peace for now but check in later to see how he's doing and pass it on.
