On the 20th of September the CF’s hosting will expire so technically we’ve only got two months left to go!

It would be strange if someone was to silently renew the forum between now and September because the Admin has gone AWOL for a long time now, which seems to point to something being wrong because he was a very responsible person that wouldn’t have abandoned the forum without good reason.

I hope he is well and makes a comeback but I fear for the worse.

Anyway, if the hosting expires the forum will vanish (get deleted by the hosting company) and some message from the host should appear in its place so it’ll mean the end of our interaction.

Our friendships will be lost forever and everyone will have to move on to other things, and chances are we’ll never hear from each other again.

I just thought I’d bring all this stuff up two months before the inevitable.

What are your thoughts?

...i will still be reading all i can, making comments to articles and subjects, on Cyprus, (except facebook) where i can, that they may help bring the intentions 'we' need to end the Problem.

...we shall see; it would be not the first time but the last time Cypriots loose (to save a few bucks) a Forum on the internet, where they may speak.

...indeed, it runs itself; a Patriot at this point (because it is a modest cost) would pay the service, yia to kefi if you will.

Cyprus Forum has been very good to me, it still is; and despite the drama, still a place where you might learn something.

...just like all your other predictions GR, i/I hope you are wrong.

Are there any options?

If so, what are they?

I can only think of a couple...

1. Someone pays the hosting company around $300 to renew it for another year (if accepted or even possible).

2. Someone is kind enough to set up a new forum by purchasing new hosting and installing the familiar forum software, available from here...

Both options will cost around $300 per year, while the second involves some running around.

The second option is probably the best, plus there’ll be an admin to prevent any potential problems, but websites need a lot of time and technical work/maintenance.

I will be happy to pay the $300 for the first year whether it is for option 1 or option 2. Someone else needs to arrange the technical side in achieving the above 2 options.

I suspect some of you are probably looking at me for a solution but I honestly don’t want to setup and run yet another website!

I’m already a pretty dominant poster as is… imagine if I were also the Admin; next to nobody would be posting!

Something tells me it’s not gonna work at all with me as the Admin.
