No Americans are not superior to Europeans. They are just people equal to any other.
They are however extremely diverse as a people. One of the most diverse in the world, which has far reaching European influences. The biggest influence by far is Irish Catholic. But it's also a melting pot of Latin, Germanic, British, Italian, and of course African and Central American influences such as Cuba for instance.
What is good or superior about America is the way they conduct themselves in business, Government and corporate sectors. That is superior to anything I have experienced. For instance, the way US Airlines are run is better than foreign airlines like QANTAS, British Airways, Air New Zealand, and Cathay Pacific are run. Staff are treated better, and by better I mean they are treated with respect. I am sure you can get bullying in American corporates, but you really have to try hard to get to that point or do something wrong to grab anyone's attention. In Australia, you can grab someone's attention just because someone doesn't like you, or the colour of your skin is different or because of any number of pathetic reasons like sexuality or ethnicity. Not in America. No one cares. All they care about is whether you meet KPIs. That's it. And they will help you reach your KPIs. If they like you, they will bend over backwards training you to meet their standards or level.
And, Americans are so friendly. So much so, they can be taken to be extra nosey and mendling in your affairs. But make no mistake, that's their way of getting to know you and I never found it malicious. They are looking to get to know you and hopefully make a friend.
This is what America is all about and what makes it superior in some respects. It's very refreshing to say the least.
Their society is an extremely open one. Media here is massive and 24/7. Hence, any gaff by any leader is captured and turned into a meme. It's all about that grab which gets the ratings, It's not even politically motivated most of the time. It's driven by ratings and ratings = high advertising turnover.
