Yes you are very wealthy but a stingy bastard never the less
We donate weekly through my wife’s school. She knows which kids have issues at home so along with other colleagues, help them long-term and there’s never a shortage of very low-income households. It never ends.
It’s an unofficial
family sponsorship that many high school teachers partake in, but you’ll never see the names in the media of these unsung heroes… Cyprus’ high school teachers!
All they ever get is criticism that they’re not doing enough!
There are lots of tragic stories in Cyprus like… the dad may be in prison, mom may be on drugs, kid living with grandma on a meager pension, dad may be abusive, parents with mental retardation, etc.
Every school has about 10 families that fit one or more of these categories… so that’s a lot of impoverished kids who need help.
Thank God for the FEMALE teachers of high schools who took matters into their own hands and began this “clandestine” family sponsorship thingie spreading like wildfire in Cyprus, ensuring that all kids get a school bag packed with all materials, and all kids have food to eat every day and pocket money even!
Assen kala oi genetzies bou agaboun!
Now you got me started Milti and I'm pretty angry at our useless government... maybe I should do a writeup kai na tous hesso!
