I had pitsillous at my army filakio on two different occasions, so I know them quite well.

Mezes, boto and lots of singing!

This is what happened one night when we had the crazy pitsillos guarding the outpost…

Pitsillos: “Altisin!”

Lohagos: “Na fais tin misin!”

Pitsillos: “A kyrie lohage eisai adikos!”

Lohagos: “Giati baidi mou?”

Pitsillos: “Tin allin missin bios enna din fai?”

About a year or so ago I enquired about a 3 bed newly build appartment. I was quoted 750,000 euros. I offered 500,000 and was almost thrown out. Yestetday I had a call asking if Im still interested, the price has now come down to 725, 000.
Cypriot developers are in for a rude awakening. Prices far exceed those of some European cities. An agent advertises a 3 bed "luxury" appartment for rent at a mere 30,000 euros per month, almost 1000 euros per day !!!
Have they not realized that Cyprus love affair with Russian multi millionaires its now well and truly over. I can see banks repossesing many of these so called luxury developments.
Such developments priced at Monte Carlo levels are not aimed at Cypriots or even singular millionaires, they are aimed at billionaires. Good luck to those who borrowed as much as they could to build " luxurious" hugely overpriced houses and appartments.

It is not those who built them that will suffer, it is those who paid for them. The price of the build is not anywhere near what they were selling for.

May I suggest a 3 bedroom flat in Gonyeli for under 100k and on original TC land too.

No you don't. You need enough to last you till exit. I can do that with 1 million. Make it work so you do not take out of it and you will be fine.
You can only eat one kosher pork kebab a day and drink on glass of wine or two but no more.
You will last a long time.

 Truth be told, the Cyprus property market should be the least of your worries when you’re a brainless old geezer with one foot in the grave and your dried up pea parked somewhere on the kitchen floor… :)
