Then the wonder of the internet tells me (usually on unsolicited YouTubes) that statistically we’re long overdue for a super volcano eruption, arrival of a continent shattering asteroid or other such ELE to turn up.

But anyone can “prophesize” with broad predictions like…“Expect a catastrophic earthquake within the next 10 years” …when earthquakes occur daily by the dozens, or “Nuclear war guaranteed within the next 50 years!” …when nobody watching such a video will still be around to verify it, and countless other junk “prophecies” to fool idiots into clicking so as to generate an income!
