In a nutshell, the global arch-criminal duo (US and UK) attempted to manufacture yet another anti-Russia “crisis” with the ulterior motive being the killing of Russia’s gas market, but they fucked up big time when absolutely nothing was escalating and eventually even the Ukrainian president telling them to cut the crap and shut the fuck up!

The result… embarrassment all around from the crooked White House to the miserable 10 Downing street.

Russia has every right to be concerned about NATO stationing troops and war material at its borders with Ukraine. In 1962 during the Cuban missiles crisis the US threatened war unless the missiles were removed. NATO os wrong in this instance, after all what is good for the goose is good for the ......

It's not as if they have not invaded other countries like Granada and Panama, Afghanistan, Iraq and bommbed the hell out of Syria too. Whils their are also attacking Yemen and countless other countries too. Did I forget Libya?

The question here is whether Ukraine, as an independent and free nation, has the right to join the EU and NATO if they wish to do so.

I believe they do.

So, in my opinion, the law favours Ukraine, not Russia which has no leg to stand on under international law. I can understand they have a security concern. But the same can be said of Lithuania and Latvia, and probably many more eastern Europan countries who are NATO members today.

Most of Europe is a member of NATO now. All the former eastern Block has joined NATO, including Hungary, Poland, Montenegro, Albania, Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia, Czechia and so on. It seems the entire world is voting with their feet, abandoning Russia in droves for NATO. That must be saying something.

It appears that everyone wants to be friends with the criminal US and UK.

The Cuban Missile Crisis can't be a comparison, because the Soviets were placing Nuclear weapons in Cuba, not just Air defence Systems.

If Ukraine joins NATO, then the modus operanti is to station Patriot Missiles and other similar Air defence infrastructure which pose no threat to Russia at all.

Oh and in addition, the Ruissians dropped about 10 times more ordnance on Syria than the Americans who were just targetting some ISIS goat shaggers in the desert.

...what comes to mind is the "Cyprus solution", as Putin once suggested his Georgian foray could be described.

The Ukraine was not Russian before it was won by the Ottomans, and lost not so long ago, some 400 years. They are a People as History clearly indicates.

...and they were invaded most recently because of the imperialistic intentions of its much larger neighbour ("retaking" what's "theirs"); Universal Principles and such values set aside.

Such men as Putin, Erdogan, Trump and Xi question Humanity. They challenge, the rest of us, our commitment toward defending what such a notion means by defining Freedom's end, where their's begins.

They do seem to suffer from the same virus as Cytpruis thoigh where there are two communitiwes there and hence Amercia and Russia can explot the situation. That Russia is in the mix is understandable as the second community are Russian speakers but what is unforgivable is why the Yanks are putting their ore in. As if they would have allowed Cuba to become member of the warsaw pact to let in Russian missles.

But than again there is the asshole who is totally oblivious of the real situation chrning out the western propaganda as if any county in the world is free.
