If the Kh-22 missiles are so notoriously inaccurate as claimed by the British Defence of non Intelligence, then how are they going to hit a moving aircraft carrier at sea which is what they are designed to hit?

Russian forces hit the Dnipro apartment block with an Kh-22 missile designed to destroy aircraft carrier groups at sea. British Defence Intelligence said that Kh-22 missiles are "notoriously inaccurate".

I am sure they were not aiming at the apartment block as it would be a complete waste of a very expensive missile if nothing else. It must have been one driven off-target by a Ukraine AA missile. so I doubt we will ever know what the actual target was!

It may have been designed to use against aircraft carriers but ........ I may be wrong but I don't think Ukraine have any aircraft carriers? Surely you would use anything capable of doing the job, like you would use an anti-tank missile against a concrete 'pill box' or a command center ?

I don't think its designed use is of any significance.

I was on quite a good discussion site until recently when it got swamped with loud mouthed offensive anti-Putin lunatics and the quality of conversation went down hill ..... very rapidly and all those who were not anti-Putin .... were made targets of abuse. So I quit and decided to test the water here. It seems to have gone rather quiet since the dual between GR and Milti !

Yes. The forum has been sort of death throes quiet for a while now. Particularly this thread, which hasn’t surprised me. There seems little in the way of a polite exchange of views zone. That’s war for you I suppose.

As you probably know Milti became very unwell and explained he was dropping out to undergo significant cancer therapy.

GR is a concern. It’s not the first time he’s gone on sabbatical but previously he’s always announced it. This time he simply stopped posting what must be a couple of months back now.

I should add. We’ve been missing out on Paphitis’s regular contributions for a while now, as well. Is it S.A.D?

I was just taking the piss of the reported comments from the British Defence Intelligence that they were implying that the Kh-22 missile hit the residential building just by chance because they are “notoriously inaccurate” rather than perhaps it was deflected to the building due to proximity explosion by Ukraine’s defense systems so not to lay any blame on Ukraine at al for all the deaths, which one wouldn’t anyway since this is war and shit happens. But what make it such a ridiculous comment by the BDI was that these missiles are meant to destroy Aircraft carrier group of ships. How can a “notoriously inaccurate” missiles would be expected to hit a moving target such as a ship? They can’t even get their propaganda bullshit straight. Perhaps they meant destroying ships with these missiles in another Pearl Harbour II as sitting ducks?
