Talking of wildlife and warfare, did the CIA not train some dolphins to attach mines onto soviet ships and used their own ships to train them at some point? I seem to remember reading an article where the dolphins then deciding to blow up the American ships as they recognised them from training.

I think you got the Merikans confused with the Ruzzians bitch! The Ruzzians claimed to have trained dolphins in anti mine warfare and surveillance to defend the Kerch Bridge.

They didn't do a very good job though and were sacked by Ruzzia's Ministry of Offence and the Ministry of War Crimes.

As seen here in the West on many occasions, particularly over the past few years - when people get pissed off they tend to "leak" things. It's a phenomena not easily dealt with - wherever and in these technological times.

Today comes news of the results of a routine poll carried out by the FSB which shows that 55% of Russian people now favour peace talks whilst the number continuing to support the "special military operation" has dropped to 25%. No point in posting a link of course. Putin doesn't have to take any notice of such things but he's savvy enough to want to know what's going on in people's minds.

It seems to me there are only 8 regular (min weekly) posters. Yet, certainly in this thread, but not totally restricted to it, there's an extraordinary level of hostility. It's hard to keep up with who's ignoring/blocking/mostly slagging off other members at any particular time.

Like many here I suspect, I'm also part of other forums, some of which have hundreds of members and dozens of regular posters. There are always arguments (sorry "debates") but you don't get a fraction of the aggro that takes place in here. It's a fascinating place.
