I believe that Russians are calling the "surrender number" to the Ukrainians with time and coordinates to give themselves up (make believe) and when the Ukrainians show up, they get bombed from a distance by the Russians

That's why you don't tell them your position. The Russians are given instructions on where to go, how to position themselves, and what to do. They are not told where the Ukrainian scouts are.
