If Russian military is such a joke, why doesn’t NATO enter Ukraine and destroy the Russian military until it surrenders. Why doesn’t NATO go and help Ukraine? NATO has been invited by the Ukraine’s President from the moment Russia invaded a week ago, but NATO is refusing. How many people needs to die and cities needs to be destroyed before NATO makes the moral decision to help the Ukrainians. There were no invitations from Yugoslavian President for NATO to come in, but NATO went there anyway uninvited and destroyed the country and help break it up. Why the refusal to help Ukraine by NATO?

BTW, my latest update in the States. My Daughter contracted COVID about 5 days ago.

My wife and I tested positive yesterday. The 3 of us are in isolation with pretty much very close to no symptoms. I am just feeling a little lethargic.

My Son is now staying with other relatives in Queens. He is the only one who has managed to dodge it so far.

Yes, schools are breeding grounds for Covid amongst kids. Hard to prevent really. Enjoy your few days at home!

Cheers! That's the silver lining. I get a bit of a breather binging on Netflix. Covid is great.

Zelensky asks Putin for talks...

"Sit down with me. Just not 30 metres away like with [Macron]," he added, referring to the long-table talks last month."

I must concur there’s a serious problem with the tables… :?

Ukrainian and Russian delegations have agreed, during a second round of talks, to the joint establishment of humanitarian corridors and a temporary ceasefire.

They have both agreed that the main issue, at this time, is to save the lives of civilians and provide safe routes for evacuation..

Once they have done that, they will decide if they will continue blowing each others brains out.

But at least they have taken a step in the right direction. It has also been reported that some common ground was found on military, humanitarian and political issues. Although its as vague as that at the moment.

The two sides will meet again at an unspecified time or place.

The article is just the opinion of a columnist. There WAS ethnic cleansing in those 2 Republics carried out by Neo-Nazi Ukrainians. Do you remember the incident when they burned alive 50 elderly people over there? Even the US condemned it and demanded the immediate bringing to justice of those who did it. How many have they ever been brought to court?? Not even one!!!
Besides Zelensky was elected promising he would end the war. Which "war" do you think he was referring to?
If I am not mistaken the "Neo-Nazi" party got about 30% in the latest elections....

It sounds like the Russians have changed tactics... they're now fighting American style!

Cluster bombs?

They don't have any precision weapons.

All those shiny planes, but they did not invest properly in precision munitions. fantasyTheir Air Force is pretty useless without these weapons.

I thought you said this was a superpower. But the reality is, Turkey would wipe the floor with Russia.
fantasy

Pootin should now surrender his Nuclear Arms on the basis he is too stupid to handle such a responsibility. fantasy

Listen Paphitis if you have any proven FACTS that you can provide then go ahead, otherwise in all honestly we got tired of your usual fantasies. 8)

It must really hurt being on the wrong side of history.

The Russian Military has great equipment no doubt, but they neglected one thing. They neglected stockpiling precision munitions. fantasyPointless having these planes if you don't have munitions.

Now, their could be many reasons. One is money. A problem that looms even more larger now with the devaluation of the Rouble to junk status along with some African tinpots.
You confuse domestic value with foreign exchange value. As usual you don't understand the basics

Welcome to reality.

If the Americans sent their forces into Ukraine, they would have a field day. Their columns are literally sitting ducks. No cover, and just low hanging fruit. because there's absolutely no resistance and no risk

If the Russians think they can threaten NATO with sheer utter stupidity like this, then they got another thing coming. Pootin has only exposed how weak and vulnerable he really is. he wanted Ukraine to surrender, but they aren't surrendering. Ukraine has ZERO chance to win. The sooner they end up to ANY agreement the better.Less destruction less wasted human lives on both sides. And at this point sorry but I got bored answering your usual nonsense. Man you don't post not even one logically correct argument. Not a single line!!

The US wouldn't even need to fight the Russians to wipe the floor with them. Based on their display in Ukraine, Turkey could demolish these Russian firces in hours. And Turkey has closed the Bosphorus to Russian ships.

What a total stuff up.

And now, dozens of countries are sending guns, missiles, ammunition to the Ukrainian people.

If Pootin wants to play with the big boys he will need to do much bigger than that. I mean fancy having columns tens of kms long on bitumen roads because the ground is too soft. That's what the Arabs did to the Israelis in 1967 and in the end Israel lit them all up in flames and destroyed them in hours.

What a mess.

Probably Russia has no choice. Their piss operation is turning out to be a big flop.

If only the Americans sent in a few A-10s, we will not be talking ceasefires but Russian surrender.

Really I don’t know the basics.

How will the Russians pay the $110 per barrel price, which will translate to about 12 erudite a gallon for petrol?

Secondly, it’s no fantasy. Russia’s stockpiles of precision weapons are dwindled. They are in no position to fight a long protracted war and they are certainly in no position to fight a war with NATO.

They have exposed their weaknesses.

Secondly, Ukraine is in the box seat now and will win this war. Russia has lost the war already. They will not be able to occupy and secure the country. That horse has bolted now. The Russians will be lucky to save their soldiers at this point. Their casualties are sky high and their soldiers have no will or desire to fight and kill Ukrainians. Their morale is low and their troops feel dejected and demoralised. They will be lucky to survive. There are also reports that hundreds of Russian soldiers are surrendering to Ukrainian military every day. Actual Tank Ctews getting out of their tanks and just walking towards Ukrainian positions with hands raised.

The Russians have ordered crematoriums to burn the bodies of their dead so that the bodies won’t return back to Russia. The families won’t even get a body to bury for their closure.

In contrast to the Russians, the Ukraine people are determined to defend their country.

This is a lost war for Russia. I told you before it even started I doubted Russia could win. Pootin was banking on a Ukrainian surrender under the shock and awe tactics. The tactic was to kill as many civilians to break the Ukrainians resolve. Well Pootin miscalculated and created one very huge military disaster for Russia.

Just think for a moment that all their Armour is actually stuck on the bitumen, many out of fuel and not enough supply to refuel them. If they were in a war with America, or NATO, their columns of armour would be burning by now and you will see the pollution and smoke from space.

The Ukrainians don’t have that capacity but what they do have is thousands of Javelins, so even if the tanks roll in to their cities, they would be picked off 1 by 1 and Russian soldiers know this and probably don’t want to die in a war that means nothing to them. On the other hand, this war is everything for the Ukraine soldier as they know they are fighting for their country and families.

This is what the Russians are facing.

These Javelins, made by Britain, are actually a game changer. Just the perfect weapon in the Ukrainian war.

This is actual footage of the Ukrainian Army at work.

...an Estonian ship is allegedly used to clear a mined path for a Russian warship. Other reports indicate she was fired upon. All crew members escaped the sinking.

...some ships are turning off their AIS transponders in fear of meeting the same fate.

...how will NATO react, as war expands, and the casualties of its members grow?
