As you may know the ZNPP eventually shut down completely after repetitive shelling by the Ukrainians. So no risk for a nuclear catastrophe any more. But as you know from physics for every action there’s an equal and opposite reaction    -->

Launch of Caliber cruise missiles by a ship of the Black Sea Fleet. An air alert has been declared throughout Ukraine.

According to preliminary information, power went out in Kharkiv, Sumy and settlements of the region.

It is possible that the strikes were carried out on energy infrastructure facilities.

After the missile strikes of the Russian Armed Forces, the light also disappeared in Kremenchug, Poltava region. There were three explosions in the city.

According to preliminary data, electrical substations were the targets of the strikes.

Glow after Russian strikes in Kharkiv region.

According to local sources, a thermal power plant in Zmiev was hit.

Also, arrivals were recorded at Kharkiv CHPP-5, which is one of the largest combined heat and power plants in Ukraine.

In fact, it is correct to say that for some reason the Armed Forces of Ukraine began shelling their own electrical substations.

Power outages also occurred in Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye and Odessa regions.

Apparently, after the strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, a rolling blackout began.

It looks the Russians are in the process of destroying all power stations in Ukraine
This one in Dnipro.

Of course this is the BEST solution to the problem.   Don't miss the link !!

Latest news:

Russia has finally realized that they need to become more ruthless if their military goals are to be achieved, so for the first time the Russian navy has started attacking Ukrainian power and water grids which has led to a total blackout taking place across Ukraine.

Trains have come to a stop and there are mass disruptions country wide making life very difficult, thereby keeping the Ukraine busy with survivability instead of organizing and launching counter attacks!

It’s clear that Russia has begun a new phase of warfare against the Ukraine, although I have yet to see any evidence of a higher level war-chest being opened, or of a declaration of war.

Don't worry LR. Soon Paphitis will announce his own good news to the bitches. The Americans will be shipping 5,000 power Generators to Ukraine specially adapted to produce 220 Volts AC instead of the standard American 110 Volt types.
I bet you won't complain when these "good news" arrive.

As you may know Nuclear power plants may produce huge amounts of electricity but in case the transmission lines can't deliver it, then they will explode. This is what made the Russians shut down the the last out of 8 reactors at ZNPP.

And this is what happened today at Ukrainian NPPs

Two Ukrainian nuclear power plants at once - Khmelnytsky and Yuzhnoukrainskaya - began shutting down their power units due to the inability to transfer the generated electricity to the grid.

The accident was localized by disconnecting the western and central regions of Ukraine from the eastern and southern ones. Electric trains stopped almost all over the country, in Poltava several trolleybuses caught fire right on the streets.

The situation was complicated by the shutdown on the night of September 11 of the last operating unit of the Zaporozhye NPP, which was caused by regular attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the facility. Prior to this, Ukrainian power engineers disconnected 750 kV and 330 kV power lines from the station. All this led to a significant decrease in the stability of the country's energy system.
