What I find bizarre is… that much of the advice the Ukrainian authorities have been handing out to their citizens has been disastrous… such as “make Molotov cocktails” and similar stupidities, and I saw many poor people wasting the few flammables they had to create stockpiles of useless things they’ll never use.

I don’t understand why they were doing this… maybe they were fantasizing a building-to-building WWII style of confrontation, in accordance with the utter trash written by Western media… authors who usually know nothing about modern war and how it is fought from great distances.

You’d have to be stupid to throw a Molotov at a modern tank just so you can create a fiery spill on 7” thick metal that doesn’t last, and then face their guns! You can’t take out a modern tank in this way, so why commit suicide?

Overall, the Ukraine has been well and truly fucked by the West (and their govt) in every way possible; including the misleading hollow promises being made post-invasion by all and sundry of all the great “things” they’ll never be able to get out to them.

The idiotic EU was even dumb enough to offer instant EU membership to a state overrun by Russia! And how exactly do you plan to implement that oh Einsteins?

How tragic… :?

Tip:

If you're holding gold - sell. An awful lot of it is probably soon to be dumped on markets like Dubai.

The Russians already declare that all this freezing of their assets is illegal.
Do they really want to push Russia to it's limits ???
if yes, they better send a few Nato fighter jets right now in Ukraine, to have their desired Armageddon a bit earlier.

Not exactly the commissioner said "they were on good path on Ukraine's membership". Were and ARE are different words.
However Zelenskyy was on TV just yesterday asking the EU to make Ukraine an EU member !! And I thought is this guy for real, or is he on constant cocaine, just like the Russians said?

Well, I suppose they would, wouldn't they? :D Not a lot they can do about it though really. Although, there are retaliatory things available to them. It can all get pretty complicated, when you look into it. :?

The irony though of talking about a country which is engaged in an invasion of a neighbour complaining about illegality seems somehow lost in there.

Ultimately I suspect it will come down to how much the Russian people will be willing to put up with. Time will tell. Despite all the jingoism I think this is a situation we could all have done without, one way or another.

Quite a few. The ultimate though I suppose would be turning off the oil and gas. Gas is actually quite a small part of Russia's energy export business. It's mainly about the oil. Cutting that off would almost certainly result in a world recession (according to people who supposedly know about that sort of stuff). The problem for Putin is that it would cut both ways.

Almost 40% of Russian GDP comes in from oil and gas. The vast majority of it to the West (China's not a big player and would most likely be more interested in buying up the business than product). Again, it will mean suffering for the Russian people. Will they be willing to put up with that after having gotten used to a reasonably comfortable life-style? None of us can know that. Suffice perhaps to say that Putin came to power on a wave of resentment in Russia when the economy tanked big-time back in 1998. They'd had enough, he took over and has given them many years of rising living standards. Will they sacrifice that on the altar of Putin's desire to extend Russian influence westwards? Dunno. :?

More on EU hypocrisy…

Not too many years ago Europe was flooded by thousands of Ukrainian prostitutes serving Europe’s cabarets and the meat market.

Many of these women were tricked by criminal European nightclub owners with the promises of respectable jobs only to be holed up in high-rise apartments and with their passports seized to work as slaves.

Some became so desperate that they would attempt to escape from balconies only to fall to their deaths!

Such is the disgrace of Europe’s treatment of Ukrainian women in the 90s and 20s, and yet today we pretend to be their saviors! How nauseating…

Btw, that piece of shit Borrell never responds to my emails… they probably all hate me but they’ve seen nothing yet!

I love to rub their hypocritical faces in manure every day just to make their lives miserable.

I’ll bet they dread clicking their “send/receive” buttons each morning knowing that some arsehole over in Cyprus is bound to remind them what they’re all about!

You pieces of shit!
