Why are they in open trenches when they can be spotted by satellite and be attacked. Surely the Hezbollah tactic of covering the top and raising it, firing and closing again was far more efficient way of attack. Tt certainly took out over 100 tanks or so and hundreds of casualties when the objective was to supposedly rescue 2 captured Israelis and caused Israel to withdraw and never enter using tanks since.

Yes, those open WWII-style trenches can be seen as black lines against a green landscape from kilometers away so they’re easily spotted.

They should’ve modified cargo containers and buried them like 90% underground with openings at the front to fire from, foldable bank beds on the opposite wall, dirt/grass spread over the rooftop, etc… I might submit a patent for this!

Hezbollah had the best idea. They built a frame on them, somebody would lift it up, another would fire and the lid was down again. They would have no idea where it came from. They were not in a line either. They were dotted all over the place. Such a simple tactic but very effective.
