The fact is the calculations the west has made that they would be isolate Russia economically from the EU and destroy it has not worked out at all. In fact although it has affected Russia but it affected the west worse. Add to that the price rises in energy has come to the rescue of Russian economy and punished the west.

So it seems EU has given the green light to Moldova. Having seen what took place in the last few months in Ukraine, either the EU leadership is stupid or they are doing it deliberately. I get the feeling it is the latter one.
