That’s from April 27th but anyway… Kherson has come a long way from those days.

One clever tactic used by the Russians when occupying a town is to inform the citizens that if they have a mortgage (and many do) it’s considered paid for and they’ll soon get title deeds issued by Russia!

Upon hearing that, who in their right mind would want to go back to Ukrainian administration and owe shitloads of money on the house, while earning a quarter of what they’ll earn under Russian administration!

...thanks GR; did not notice that.

Much confusion in Kherson. Ukraine says it will not attack the city, other reports indicating rocket fire. While the town is Russian at the moment, it is not entirely Russian, or "Russian" for that matter.

Its time to start thinking about investing in European assets.

The Euro vs the US Dollar is 1.04, historical value is around 1.30. If it every makes parity it will be the first time in 20 years.

All major stock indices are down. Crypto is at 22k. Gold is coming down but we are in an inflationary environment.

Opportunities like this to buy cheap dont come around that often. everything is on sale.

Dont buy in to the short term doom and gloom merchants, making everyone fearful.

These bar stewards setting policy will do a 180 in no time and everything will reverse course.

What you’re saying would be very valid had this been some temporary normal recession that shows up once every decade or so… but things are very different now; the reasons for the slump are new and unique (uncharted territory) and I believe very long term.

The West has made some very serious and seemingly irreversible errors that will have profound repercussions on its future, and as if this wasn’t bad enough they’re also determined to make things worse by also antagonizing China.

The China issue is going to escalate soon because the old US geezers at the helm; who have one foot in the grave and are the last anti-soviet dinosaurs still standing, seemingly want to have one final crack at the “USSR” before they go because they have nothing better to do anyway.

They live in the past and couldn’t care less about the future because they don’t have one anyway.

Their families have billions to live off thanks to all the kickbacks they’ve enjoyed after long political careers in the world’s most corrupt entity, and now it’s all a game to them to see how far they can push their old nemesis.

Ultimately, the sum of their actions will eventually leave the West completely devastated and in need of outside help, and when that time comes I suspect it is Russia that will start bailing out European countries… but at Russia’s terms!

Russia has been geographically blessed with endless hydrocarbon and rare earth mineral sources so their supplies will never run out for centuries, and even if the world was to move on to alternative energy sources it’ll still need those rare earth minerals/elements for such technology to exist.

America on the other hand, will not be able to survive by making both Russia and China their sworn enemies because the two combined can completely starve the US from so much… that there would only be one direction for the US… down.

I have complete “faith” in America’s dinosaurs who are hell-bent on wrecking the West entirely; we’ve already witnessed how far they’ll go, so I wouldn’t spend a dime investing in the West right now because it looks very grim and I can only see it getting worse in the future.

I agree with GR. The complete downturn of the financial system is not due to periodic adjustments of the market, which would be due to “natural causes”. The present market turmoil is a “man made” cause, to which the war in Ukraine is the primary cause followed by universal disruptions on distributions of goods and services due to ill throughout sanctions on Russia by the west with the withdrawal of western companies from that country which has hurt their own bottom line. A classic case of scoring an own goal. Until the west reverses their positions on Russia, the turmoils in the market will likely to get worse before it gets better.

here is a song regarding war.

It is the mother that makes the man
Enlightenment goes ahead of us
Didn't a mother give birth to you too?
Don't sacrifice mothers, gentlemen.
Don't let the clouds kill people

A six-year-old boy running
His kite passes through the trees
There was a time that's how you ran.
Don't sacrifice children, gentlemen.
Don't let the clouds kill people

Brides comb their hair in the mirror
Looking for someone
Of course, one day they called you too.
Don't sacrifice brides, gentlemen.
Don't let the clouds kill people

Don't sacrifice brides, gentlemen.
Don't let the clouds kill people
Don't sacrifice mothers, gentlemen.
Don't let the clouds kill people
Don't sacrifice children, gentlemen.
Don't let the clouds kill people

Some pibol have very relaxed attitude about this situation. Of course it will get better. But only after it has caused huge amount of pain to the Ukranian, Russian and European people. The only bastards who benefit out of this is the American corporation and their corrupt friends.

Perhaps a little better than today market , but not as good as "yesterday's" market. Right now we are back to early 2020 market.

Yes, and this is normal.

The market's super cycle is about 20 years. opportunities like this come around every 20 years.

Fundamentally speaking, the reasons why the market moves the way it does changes but history generally repeats itself.

the economy has more money floating about, more debt needs to be paid off, prices go up and new wealth will be created at the end of it.

There is nothing new under the sun. Look where we are today after two world wars, compared to where we were prior to them.

So far, and heaven forbid it doesn't get there. The conflict in Ukraine isnt at the levels of the world wars.

Thinking about it… once you’ve captured a town you have a LOT of work to do, like…

* Collect and process the bodies of you fallen comrades.

* Collect and process the bodies of enemy troops.

* Collect and process abandoned weapons and other dangerous stuff lying around.

* Sometimes demining is necessary.

* Give the Town Hall a “makeover”.

* Start providing emergency supplies to citizens.

* Repair/reconnect any damaged emergency facilities like water, electric and Internet access.

* Sort out passports, citizenships, title deeds, schools, mayoral posts etc.

Phew! I’m putting off invading and occupying some smaller villages in the vicinity of Tseri… too much trouble! :?
