What's going on at Azovsal seems to me reminiscent of Thermopylae or Rorke's Drift. Surely, a lesson to the Russians on how tenacious Ukrainian fighters will be?
It is exactly Thermopylae. History repeating itself. These extremely brave 1000 or so Ukrainian Soldiers are spurring Ukrainians on. None of us can even imagine how important their struggle is. With each day they survive and hold out, as the rest of the country looks on, can only motivate the Ukrainian Military and People, and lift their morale further. Should they all die one by one, Ukraine now has no choice but to never allow their selfless sacrifice be in vain.
They are exactly, of the same mindset of the original 300 Spartans. These 1000 Ukrainian soldiers deserve such a comparison and more.
