This lend-lease in reality is an almost free donation. Probably the Ukrainians will be paying a small portion of it later.

The terms of the agreement provided that the materiel was to be used until returned or destroyed. In practice, very little equipment was returned and most was destroyed during the war. Supplies that arrived after the termination date were sold to the United Kingdom at a large discount for £1.075 billion, using long-term loans from the United States

Far from paying a small portion of it, in fact Britain paid back twice what they borrowed. Whether the fact that it was done over 50 years reduces the effect is another matter.

We borrow money to buy a house and by the time we pay it back 30 years later, we pay something like 2.5 times as much. It looks comparable to an ordinary financial transaction.

Add to that the fact that the money borrowed was spent using American products and you begin to appreciate what it is all about.

So much for sovereignty in the world. The Yanks put their interests rates up and UK follows the next day. I love this freedom we have.

I guess if the Yanks fart we will shit ourselves.

That was not the lend-lease agreement of 1941-45 but another loan of 1947.
For the former...
--->
$31.4 billion went to the United Kingdom

The 1947 loan was paid off in 2006, after it was extended six years.

In Putin's case should it happen humanity will be rejoicing.
He has exposed himself as a direct descendant of Ivan the Terrible and would not hesitate to carry out his satanic wishes which would herald the end of humanity.

Do you have any doubt that the residents of the whole region from Donbas to Kherson would be slaughtered in retaliation if Russia gets out?

Start from there and you will soon discover that no General would accept defeat.
Be sure that if Putin is removed , there will be a full escalation to this war, and most probably a simultaneous nuclear attack on USA, UK, France and Germany. You probably haven't heard what the fanatics are saying publicly in Russian TV shows...

I do not tune in to Russian sites, I consider them highly irresponsible and nuclear happy. .Having said this reading some of the posts here Im beginning to think that Russia was invated by Ukraine.
Surely Russia must know that a nuclear war will be the end of Russia as well as the rest of the world. There will be no winner , they will self destruct.
Let us hope that common sense takes over.
As for Cypriots who support the Russian invasion, as I said before, they are also supporting the Turkish invasion of Cyprus.
