There's no justification at all for what's happened in Ukraine. The subject of this thread. Tens of thousands killed. Cities, towns and villages obliterated. Millions of displaced and refugees. Absolutely none at all.

It is not about justifying what is going on in Ukraine. It is what kind of people are running the west. Never mind about anywhere else. Ukraine is clearly no match for Russia and attacking the Russians in Ukraine was as bad a judgement call as any idiot could make. But what about the way the west is behaving in Ukraine. They know very well Ukraine has no defence and yet they keep delivering weapons they know very well will offer no defence and goad Ukraine to continue despite her losses. The issue is not with what Russia is doing. The issue is what the west is doing right now and whether it is the way a friend would behave. If this was a boxing match if you cared for Ukraine you would shout stay down, not get up and keep going knowing that the blows will cause brain damage.

You really are not understanding what the west is doing and for what reason. Look a little harder. Ukraine is being used as a bate by the west.

Cypriots must step up now to have an effect on the eventual result, here and in the Ukraine: an end to the Problem, or not.

Mr. Erdogan has begged for it; why else "picnics" on our beaches? Who, where, are the People to say differently? Mr. Erdogan needs us now if he is to make History successfully negotiating a settlement which can be emulated, no less.
