We have to be objective. I 've been collecting maps about the situation on the ground in East Ukraine ever since the Russians abandoned the area around Kiev.
The Russians did have a very fast advance in early April, however the situation on the ground from mid April to date is almost unchanged.
We 've been hearing they are approaching Zaporicha, and they are 25 Km away, but they were 30 Km away already from mid April! And after Zaporicha is Dnipro a huge town with almost 1m population which I think they will just have to bypass and concentrate their forces away from that, to finally unleash an attack in Krematorsk area.
The important thing here is that both Luhansk and Donest are still missing those areas to have full control of their regions. Presumably the minimum goal of the Russians is to liberate Luhansk and Donesk and this did not happen yet, and we just witness very slow advancements.
If nothing happens within the next 15 days, we may conclude the situation on the ground is on stalemate.
