Yes every country has its good and bad.

But I find the American people a breath of fresh air generally.

Their Aviation industry, which is clearly the biggest part of my life and professional experience with regard to Smerica, is clearly world leading in my view.

Just everything about it, from the executives, to the engineers and the culture among the pilots, most of which btw are ex US Military. You are guaranteed a job if you were in the US Military and had served in a war zone. The culture is second to none. And they are the last people you could even imagine to be capable of committing war crimes. Generally speaking, they are good people with exceptional character in an almost naive sort of way.

The infrastructure, the air traffic control, the operations team make it a breeze for us. We sign on, our flight plans are done and handed to us, our NOTAMs are handed to us, and even highlighted for us in a fluorescent marker, our weather reports are handed to us and the even call the refueller and De-Ice all the control surfaces on the aircraft.

And when you get your airways clearance, push back clearance is where the poetry is set in motion. All the metal everywhere and when you log on to ATC it is all ILS to ILS and smooth and so easy. Every minute detail, every time. It’s almost friggin surreal. And we are talking about thousands of aircraft at a time.

And never allow your kids to go for “sleepovers” at school friends’ houses because that’s another time when most child molestations take place by the daddy of the friend.

So trust nobody and keep your wits about you in America because it’s an extremely dangerous and disgusting place full of opportunistic psychopaths.

It could be a doctor, it could be a lawyer, it could be a teacher… he may be clean-cut and wear glasses with a most harmless look and turn out to be the worse child molester in the entire city.

Be very careful of your kids…

You have already exceeded America as a cesspool with your serial killer targeting female foreign workers.

America has had a few but you are talking about 350 million people not an island that barely cracks a million.

Don’t kid yourself Paphitis because America is no Australia!

It’s FULL of psychopaths, from the most harmless looking girl wearing glasses that you hired to babysit for you (always use a camera), to the nice frail grandpa walking his dog on the street… (never let your kids play at the front garden unattended) ...you just can’t trust nobody in the land of the opportunistic psychopaths.

Many are doped up or on prescription drugs and out of control, and many have a long history of mental illness and are really fucked up even though they can pass themselves off as “normal”!

Heed my advice and guard your kids well.

I still haven’t met a psychopath yet.

You really need to go looking for trouble to find it most of the time.

My wife uses the NYC Metro, even at night and it’s a breeze. Transit cops are everywhere.

Doesn’t matter which part of Manhattan neither. Even in the Bronx the Black Americans are 99% AOK. They mind their own business generally.

America is doing great. And it’s such a fast paced lifestyle in the big smoke.

America, when you come here, is geared to win. No room for losing here. Corporate America owns the world and controls the global financial markets and that is by no mistake. They are just too forward thinking and too ambitious.

When America coughs, you catch a cold. When America farts, you need to hold your breath.

Hence why the Green Card is sort after by everyone, including Aussies.

Don’t expect anyone to say... “Hi, I’m a psychopath!”

He will be a very normal looking person (typically a caucasian male aged 20 to 50) that can hold a decent conversation and be rather likable.

He will be rather friendly and may go out of his way just to gain your trust and foot in your door.

That’s what’s so worrying about it... they’re “normal” and very clever!

Oh boy Get Real! Are you friggin serious?

You have the wrong impression of America. Most of the people I’ve met, Caucasians included which btw are either mostly Irish, Italian or German and share the very same heritage as Australia does with its English, Irish and German heritage, are AOK and utter professionals.

Hence why the Americans lead the world culturally and with their technology. I’m using an American Apple device in communicating with you right now and it’s the best tech someone can get a hold of. It’s by no mistake!

You are delusional.

Ask a cop if my advice is good and I’ll bet he’ll say… “Has this guy worked in a police force?”

The answer of course is no, but this guy has watched some 10,000 real life crime documentaries!

I’m a bit of a crime nerd.. that's how I know :)

Sure you are. And I bet you also have a lot of US based crime stories to indulge in.

But it’s also a mega country of sone 350 million people.

Abs we are not exactly ducking for cover from all the criminals. We lead a normal life here pretty much on par with Melbourne or Sydney, only bigger and even more fast and Melbourne and Sydney are fast enough.

You can walk to a bar, a coffee shop, or take a stroll down Central Park and it’s safe and very enjoyable too aside from the cold which is my biggest big bear about New York,

It’s a very dynamic city and it beats living in Nicosia or Limassol because there is just so much action and so many things to see or do. There are no dull moments in New York. It’s a lovely place.

But I’m hooked on LA at the moment. LA is much more Aussie Paphitis friendly.

There is more chance of me dieing from frost bite than getting mugged or falling victim to a crime. The cold is brutal and I’m over it.

You got to be stoic living in New York. And street smart.

Numbers I’m hearing is that:

1) there are 137 dead Ukrainian soldiers, and 380 casualties.

2) civilian casualties are in the thousands as Russia is targeting civilian targets.

3) there are 2800 Russian casualties so far.

This looks like a war Russia can’t win in my opinion.

Looks like it’s better Russia surrenders now before it loses more of its soldiers.
