You are all little pawns now including Cyprus.

Time for Cyprus to choose its allegiances. Time for NATO membership.

Turkey does as it’s told. They are a good little poodle.

Time to smarten up Cyprus.

It’s either the NATO way or it’s the highway now baby!

Paphitis, if you were the leader of Russia and in possession 6.5k nukes and say 30+ countries had conspired against you to destroy you… and to speed things up for the sake of the argument… some time has passed and they are achieving it and your destruction is indeed getting very close, what would you do?

Sweden, Finland and Moldova see the writing on the wall.

Now it’s Cyprus turn.

If I was the leader of Russia, I would consolidate the Fussian economy, develop natural resource markets into the EU and seriously contemplate joining NATO. I would sure up Russia with manor infrastructure spending, invest in education, and health. If make Russia a fully developed country.

I would also introduce better social security, pensions and social benefits. And develop the aviation industry, manufacturing, shipping and ship building, as well as the construction industry by building better roads, housing, apartments and so on.

I would make Russia an economic powerhouse on par to Western Europe.

Then develop the military. Not for war but for peace and stability.

I would not be using the nuclear arsenal as any viable means to threaten anyone and destroy Russia.

You haven’t answered the question Paphitis because they are destroying you so you can't do all the things you say… have another try.

I have answered the question Get Real.

You asked what I would do if I was in Pootin’s shoes. If I was leader of Russia, I wouldn’t put Russia in the position it is now. I wouldn’t have attacked Ukraine to begin with but would have looked at ways to form great relations with Ukraine and keep Crimea because of the naval base.

I would also apply to join NATO and form better trade relations with the EU.

Russia would be better off.

Now, they are in a very bad predicament.

Nope... I fast forwarded to the point were you are about to be destroyed... are you avoiding answering what is a very easy question to understand, by any chance?

CONCENTRATE on what the questions says because you haven't got the time to do the things you're saying.

My question doesn't offer a time machine to change the past/course of Russia.

If you want to be a superpower, then the economy must come first.

Once GDP goes up, then so too does defence spending.

Australia has a defence budget of $50 billion. It has one of the highest GDPs in the world and that defence expenditure is also one of the highest on the planet but only comes in at 2% of GDP.

Russia has a GDP comparable to Turkey on a per capita basis. So it can’t have the same output as Australia.

The Russian GDP should be 8 trillion. 2% of 8 trillion would make it a superpower.

Russia is not a superpower.

You said... "The total destruction of Russia inches ever closer." ...and I took you up on that and now asking what you would do in his place.
