The UK, US, Greece and Turkey. Where are the sanctions on Turkey?

There are no sanctions on Turkey Max.

And why. Because Cyprus is no Ukraine. Cyprus surrendered. It capitulated. When that happens, you lose and the world moves on.

40,000 Cypriots even evacuated Famagusta, giving Turkey this city on a platter.

This is our downfall. We didn't have a Zalensky and will still don't have one today. In fact, that's a lie. You do have a Zalensky type of candidate wanting the Cyprus Presidency. He resigned as your Foreign Affairs Minister. I have no doubt that if Cyprus ever sees a war, he too will don body armour like Zalensky.

But we have never had anyone smart enough or brave enough as Zalensky till now, and even the Cypriot politician I speak asbout remains untested. It's just my personal appraisal of his character in peace. What zalensky has done and achieved is way easier said than done.

Once you lay down your weapons Max, you lose. The Ukrainians are not laying down their weapons.

Cyprus did in 1974, when they shouldn't have. Even if it means Paphos under Turkish occupation, the war must go on, otherwise you accept the status quo. Cyprus accepted the status quo.

The western coalition will fight the Russians to the very last Ukrainian without directly attacking them.

In the end, the world order is going to shift and not to the US or wests favor.

We live in a hypocritical world order, as Putin would say, in an "empire of lies".

"Rules for thee and none for me".

If you dont see the lies and hypocrisy, and how the west has been invading countries for decades with a self righteous impunity, you are still plugged in to the matrix.

I doubt it.

Yes the Ukrainians will fight to the end. To the last Russian Soldier. That will happen before the very last of Ukraine;'s 40 million people.

Ukraine, and the west know what is at stake.

For Ukraine, it's their existenece. For the world, its a dim Nuclear Holocause of 250 million dead people within 6 hours.

You do the math.

So you expect the world to put unprecedented sanctions on Russia for invading Ukraine. Because Ukraine wants to join Nato.

But you dont expect the world to put sanctions on Turkey for invading and occupying Cyprus for the past 47 years. Because Cyprus wanted to join Greece.

Please tell me you see the hypocrisy?

And secondly, I can't find it in me to condemn Ukraine's summary executions of Russian Soldiers.

Yes, against the Geneva convention, but they have no choice. If an invader ever invaded Australia, this too is the harsh reality of war. Many POWs will be executed. Therefore, any invader is likely to be killed.

Australia does not have the military resources to load them on trucks and take them thousands of kms away to Adelaide and put them in a resort.

The invaders soldiers will die. When you face destruction, and need to survive, then the worst will come out of any soldier.

No one will care about any possible tribunals.

So picture this. China invades Australia. They end up cpontrolling Northern Australia with Australia following the Brisbane Line protocols where they fall back and build their defensive line. Chinese POWs would have signed their death certificate upon capture so I can condone Ukraine for doing the same.

When crazy non-strategic crimes are committed during a conflict, how can we tell who is telling the truth and who is lying in the absence of any evidence? :?

 In such cases we let our wisdom come to the rescue by asking ourselves…

Who stands to benefit the most from this incident?

That’s your perpetrator!
