I don't subscribe to the view that the US bears responsibility for the carnage and death being inflicted upon the Ukranian people. That's absurdity. It's Russians killing them, obliterating their cities and forcing literally millions of them to flee their country. The idea that Putin was "forced" to invade risible. No more logical than those that accepted Hitler was forced to annexe Austria and the Sudetenland.

Neither do I believe the US has responsibility for all wrong doings on our planet. Which doesn't, as some seem to think, make me an avid supporter. There are other injustices - some on a great scale - going on around the world. Tens of thousands imprisoned and murdered. These atrocities though escape with virtually nil comment.

It remains a mystery to me how so many with Liberal views can be so supportive of a man like Putin, who is an archetypal Fascist dictator in every sense.

And Pyrpo thinks I'm myopic. :(

One saying that the Russians were compelled to invade Ukraine is not the same as supporting the invasion. By the same token by saying Turkey was compelled to invade Cyprus is not supporting Turkey either. The two are different things.

In reality the situation was identicle. In 2014, the legitemate government was overthrown in Ukraine and so was the Cypriot government in 1974 by similar group of people the fascists. In Ukraine they wanted to wipe out the Russians and in CYprus TC from Cyprus. Fascists know nothing else.

As nobody has answered about what Sampson would have done, tell me what would have happened in 2014 and now if Russia did not invade?

Were the Russians in the east under no danger at all? Add to that how long before Americans would set up a base in Ukraine? and than what?

Yanks can go fuck themselves.

With talking in commas meaning you were actually spouting off some twatery on a public forum. You claimed that people you stick in a box called 'left' are more unhappy bitter and angry than those you do not stick in that box. The very notion is absurd if you just look at it for a moment. It is nothing to do with actual reality and only to do with your own prejudice.

His being next on the list, after you did such an excellent hatchet job on Tim and CG over Covid (12th June, 12th June, 12th June  ). Then, to disappear for another 6-12 months. The man who once called me a "drive by poster". Never short on hypocrisy ("democrat").

We are all on the spectrum of 'does drive by postings'. You pointing out that I am on that spectrum is to say exactly nothing. Everyone is on it to some degree and at some levels. None the less there remains an objective reality that you do it to a much greater frequency as a % of your total posts here than I or any mean or median. A lot more. The historical record here is complete. I was posting on this forum for a decade before you even appeared. To make out I 'drive by post' here in any way that is comparable with the way you do in either frequency or degree over the entirety of our posting histories is just absurd. So no not hypocrisy at all. Just reality.

Londonrake wrote:Do me a favour? Block me? It's the new "thing". Then you wouldn't be offended by my posts and I'd be spared your sanctimonious drivel. Sounds like win/win to me.

I do not need software to block you. I do it automatically for the vast majority of what you post here. I still reserve the right to call out your or anyone's twatish global assertion along the lines of people on the left are less happy more bitter and angrier than those who are not on the left.

The captiol rioters. Of the left or the right would you say ? Happy or unhappy ? Angry or calm ? Bitter or sweet ?

Twat.

Ahhh, all a bit too Daedalian for hereabouts methinks Erolz. And of course, not much to do with Ukraine. Although, I suspect on certain aspects of that subject at least we might agree. Allah forbid! Ehh?

I'm actually quite pleased. To join Paphitis in the Erolz "Twat" club. To which, IIRC, I'm entitled to 6 monthly top-up visits?

So - got anymore pics of you lounging - avec jolie montre - in your hot tub?

Excuse me though - I have to get on with my "you bring little to this forum" activities. That, from somebody who brings so much.

Actually, the number of messages and vids I have had from friends in the UK today, bleakly displaying the snow outside, suggests otherwise.
