Russia has practically immobilized the Ukrainian forces and will probably encircle Kiev soon.

Putin is ready to negotiate the terms of surrender with Zelensky to end Russia's military operations.

It basically, involves Ukraine reverting back to guarantees of neutrality and demilitarization.

Russia repeatedly stated over the years that it wanted a neutral Ukraine; not in NATO, which is a reasonable condition just as the US wouldn't want Mexico to facilitate a Russian base on its soil.

Had the West listened, none of this would be necessary, so what is happening today is no invasion but a forced demilitarization.

Russia has just given a potent demonstration of their ability to defend that neutrality and the Ukrainians should take head although having gone through all this trouble now Russia will want more… probably neutrality + regime change.

Will Yanukovych come out of exile to take over? We shall see...

Russia can take its sanctions kind a cucumber now.

Their entire economy will be dust.

Not that Pootin cares but right now, no Russian business is able to trade or do business in North America, EU or Australia. Even assets owned by their elites are being seized.

All that’s needed now is the Sankey age of Russian gas lines into Europe.

The world actually deserves to pay $3 or even $5 per unit.

The world deserves to pay through the nose with gas. You do not deserve cheap gas let alone security.

The US is ok with gas and can self sustain itself.

Hitler was smart too. And that is the comparison point for Pootin. And we all know what happened to Hitler.

Eventually, the same will happen to Russia as most of the population end up in abject poverty

There is now no choice for NATO. Nuclear Ballistic missiles MUST be moved into all NATO member states including the Baltics, Poland and Hungary. Hundreds of them should be moved in to ensure Russia’s complete a nihilist ion if Pootin continues to get too cute.

Russia’s future looks promising having secured the world’s largest gas market while the pitiful sanctions of the US, UK and EU are nothing short of cutting one’s nose to spite the face! :)

It doesn’t actually.

A promising future is when you are able to trade and conduct business. Something that will be denied to Russia by all the allies including EU.

There isn’t a bright future when you end up with 45% unemployment.

As for cutting off your nose, the world would cut off their nose if they did nothing.

As in WW2, the world can’t afford not to do anything otherwise it’s bye bye to Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania in the shorter term.

And it’s bye bye to Cyprus too, eventually. And you got no one behind you either. No one.

Just waiting for opportunistic China now to smash Taiwan into submission and you’ll have the world’s most powerful alliance (sino-russian) for that long overdue global regime change!

Out with the old and in with the new… 8)

The difference with Taiwan is that this will definitely start WW3.

That will invite a direct conflict with Japan, USA, and other allies.

It’s much more likely for Turkish Tanks to roll through to Pafos. Unlike Taiwan, there is no one behind Cyprus.

Cyprus has already been carved up into half a dozen pieces… we’ve got nothing to lose anymore.

That’s not true.

But let me tell you that it’s never been better for Turkey thanks to Russia.

But there is always a hope that the EU and the US will call Turkey to account.
